1) The Engine – The all new Superb’s 1.8 TSI engine with an output of 118 KW powers the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.5 seconds. The direct fuel injection technology guarantees low consumption as well as emission.

2) Automatic 7-speed DSG - The 1.8 TSI petrol engine in the all new Superb comes with a 7-speed DSG Automatic gearbox and includes a sports mode – introduced for the first time in India. The paddle shift is an additional feature which comes as a standard option.

3) The Twin Door Concept - The unique, patented “twin door” variable boot opening offers an extremely practical, functional and well thought out solution. The all new Superb’s tailgate places practically no limits on what can be transported and can accommodate 1670 liters of luggage when folded forward – the largest in its class.

4) Safety - Airbags: There are 8 airbags on board the all new Superb. Two front and side airbags as well as head airbags at the front and back provide all-round protection. ESP & ABS with brake assistant are part of the standard equipment. The Hill hold control: Prevents the car from rolling backwards when the brake is released.

5) Intelligent lighting: AFS (Adaptive Front Light System) improves visibility, adapting to the driving conditions and enabling the driver to recognize obstacles in the road sooner and react quicker. AFS is combined with Bi-xenon headlights in the new Skoda Superb. Skoda Auto is the first brand within the VW Group to provide AFS with this extended range of functions

6) Design & Technology: The appearance of the all new Superb is striking in its form. The elegant and timeless body contours, rear-deck spoiler, double exhaust tail pipe, and chrome trims on the exterior as well for the interior are all eye-catching features. The centre console houses a touch screen display for controlling air conditioning, audio as well as park assist functions. Intelligent LED illumination systems and front fog lights with Corner Function reveal the thought - where design meets functionality.

7) Space - The interior, with its finely tuned mix of chrome, wood décor and leather reflect excellent workmanship and status. The interior leg room and head room in the all new Superb is definitely the largest compared to any other luxury limousine on the roads. The presence of abundant storage spaces and compartments offer convenience, function and comfort. The all new Superb is supported by a shorter wheelbase compared to the previous generation Superb but its extraordinary design provides even more roominess.

Globally, the Superb has bagged a bunch of prestigious awards in 2008 like the 2008 Golden Steering Wheel (Goldenes Lenkrad) organised by the German-based magazine Bild am Sonntag and the Großen Österreichischen Automobil-Preis organised by ARBÖ every year, where Experts, VIPs and thousands of readers selected the best and most popular vehicles of 2008 from altogether 36 candidates for the year. The car has done Skoda proud with other awards by being claimed the Car of the Year in Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
