Amongst the Asian countries that are experiencing a considerable amount of growth in their economy is India. This is quite evident when we observe the number of foreign car manufacturers that have entered the automobile market of India to cater to the growing demands of the public. Rightfully termed as an “Indian revolution”, the car has managed to attract the attention a large chunk of the public. The Chevy SRV is a five door hatchback but the makers of the car prefer to call it a sportsback. This is due to the way in which the car has been designed. The car showcases a rather sporty look that bears resemblance to the GTR/GTX versions of the much larger cars. The over all dimensions of the car are very close to that found in most GTR/GTX versions which make it appear very sports like.

The car has been designed by the world famous Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. It’s no wonder that the car has got heads turning because the designer is the man who was voted as the best designer of the century by motorist magazines. Out of all the good things about the Chevy SRV the rear side is undoubtedly the most striking feature. It sports an extra large bumper at the back with twin reflectors. A circular themed tail lamp is fixed above the sports bumper. Another feature that adds to the sporty look of the car is the GM logo in the centre of the hatch door.

In no way is the car void of any safety features. Take for example the cabin made of high tension steel including the steel crash bars that keep the passengers inside the cabin in utmost safety. The rear and front zones of the car have crumple zones incorporated in them which help to reduce the impact of a crash. To reduce the chances of injury to the driver the steering has been collapsible in the Chevy SRV. For the Indian people this car is something that will not only give them their desired performance and comfort, rather it is all set to fulfill their car fantasies.
