Bookings for 3G iPhone in India Started with Vodafone

Vodafone seems to the first official player to get Apple iPhones in India though the official statement from Apple claimed to have a agreement with Bharti Airtel. Vodafone has already started offering Pre-Registration of your post paid connection with a iPhone 3G. Vodafone the company which was already in India on the name of Hutchison Essar deals in Prepaid & PostPaid mobile phone services and its announced that these new connections would currently be 2G and not 3G because of limited features in Indian telecom industry.

Apple iPhone Vodafone Launched

Bharti Airtel now claims that they would launch Apple iPhones around the end of the year but the dates have not been specified. Vodafone is planning to grab all the future customers who would look to buy a iPhone by this Pre-Registration process.

    Any guess of Pricing.. If they decided to sell the 3G iphone for Rs:8500/- what will happen to other top models which are selling for 2k – 2.5 k ?

    Its India i dont think they would launch in real cheap price. I guess it would still be a price betweek 10-14k Indian Rupees.

    what about the vodafone connection…it’s postpaid or prepaid for 2000 per month connection ……

    i wish connection would be cheap as iphone….

    iphone 3G of 199$ can’t be true if at all the indian market is considered…..it will definetly go to around 14-16k……..bcoz if it sells for such a low price what about the other cell phone manufacturers like NOKIA and SONY ERICCSON……will they allow APPLE to sell a phone with such high features at a low cost?????????????????????

    @ Dheeraj : No you need to signup with Airtel or Vodafone post paid in order to use a iphone.

    @ Lakshman Nirmalwad : iPhone 3G is currently priced in the range of 350-500USD based on different stores and post paid signup plans with AT&T, but in India the case would be different, though dont expect it to be lower than 13000Rs in any case because these sellers wont sell for cheap in any case.

    The latest news I got is that 3G iphone’s launching in India will be delayed by year or so…because Nilesh is not happy the Airtel and Vodafone services that when they are launching….

    Lot and lot of people are cursing themselves not to having that of much amount and missing their desire to have iphone. Seriously price is really high, but recently came to know that Airtel has tied up with banks to provide iphone with easy EMI option. It can be checked at:

    One more thing is the browser is more sensitive to spyware
    Nokia is going to launch Nokia 5800 which is a touch screen it looks even like iphone have almost all facilitiei iphone have and many more it would be a great provider of music especially…
    Apart from this it comes with 8gb card expandable upto 16gb…
    It perhaps have 3.2mp carl zessis optics and inbuilt memory of 81MB
