People keep asking this question regularly to me, saying that they have a very less budget for this months purchase and they want to buy a new Laptop which would come down at a 20000Rs or less price range. Lets first accept a fact that a this kind of budget you should expect a very less configured Laptop model which would be quite slow and would also be a small display sized Laptop.

ASUS-Eee PC 2G Surf

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 – MRP : 20000Rs

Dell Inspiron Mini 9

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is seriously a good looking laptop which can be considered to buy if you are looking to gift a laptop to someone. Not only the looks but also the features are rich because its powered by Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor which takes very less power usage and also comes with a 1Gb of RAM along with 16Gb SSD Hard drive. The Screen Dimensions are 9.1″x6.8″ along with a thickness of 1.25-1.1″. The total weight is around 1kg and it does come under the Netbook Category. The laptop does look similar to the Asus 9″ Eee PC but is quite thinner and looks better. The Dell Mini 9 comes with 3 USB 2.0 Ports and SD Card Reader along with Ethernet, Bluetooth & Wifi Connectivity. Dont expect any CD Rom drive in these Netbook series because these are compact stuff which are generally connected to USB Drives. You get multiple inbuilt applications in this Laptop which are totally free and preinstalled for your daily need, though the keyword is quite small and you need to get habituated in order to use these small laptops. There are no ports in the front end and all the posts are situated on the sides of the Laptop. The battery life is around 3-4 hours based on the usage and the programs run and is quite ok when compared to the size and features of the Laptop though a 6-cell battery would have been expected rather than the current 4-cell battery. There are 2 models available in this based on the Operating System like Windows XP or Linux Ubuntu.

This is an era of science and technology which has gifted the mankind with lots of things and computers are the most remarkable among them. However while mentioning computers, there are plenty of laptop models available in the market and due this intense competition the choice of opting a good laptop at affordable price specially for college going students has become very cumbersome. So for choosing a laptop package for a college student we should know what actually a student should expect from his laptop when he decides to buy one. First of all it should be light and comfortable to handle so that the laptop can be moved easily from one class to another. The laptop should be very sturdy and tough to withstand some amount of stresses and the battery life should be great and the laptop should give high performance at real affordable prices.

HP Mini Laptop College Students

Laptops within budget
For most of the college students who really needs a laptop, the price is given if not primary but considerable importance. Some of the laptops within a students budget include thise from Dell, Toshiba and HP. The Toshiba Satellite A215-S4747 is good within this category. You get a dual core processor from AMD, which performs well for most applications. U get an in built Hard disk of storage space of about 200GB, sufficient for a student. It also includes fair number of peripheral ports. One more such laptop is the Sony VGN-NR160E/S model. It gives u Intel core 2 duo T5250 processor, 1GB of DRAM and a storage capacity of 160GB. All this in a very affordable pricing.

Light and slim laptops
If the preference is of powerful laptop rather than weight, go for thin and light laptops. Some of the good laptops in this range includes Sony VAIO VGN-FZ280E providing Intel core 2 duo CPU ,2GB RAM and 250GB harddisk with bluray writer. Another model is HP Pavillion dv6675us giving same feature as above but 4GB RAM.

Ultraportable Laptops
If preference is compactness go for ultraportable laptops. Some of the best among them are Lenovo Thinkpad X61 weighing 3 pounds, extremely portable, Intel core 2 duo processor, 100GB hard disk and 2GB RAM with no DVD drive in-built. Another laptop is Toshiba Portege R500-S5001X weighing 2.4pounds with an inch thick, one of the thinnest reasonably priced laptops in the market.

X-mini iHome Capsule Speaker Review

Mini X Speaker

Everything about my iPhone is great except the output sound which comes through it because iPhone does not have any great sound output and i never love to listen music or view videos on my Apple iPhone. This is the same stuff with the Dell Mini & HP Mini Laptop i had purchased in the last few months because the companies recommend to use external speakers if i want to listen to Music on High Volume but how the hell would you carry those big speakers while you travelling?

I found the X-mini iHome Speaker at a PC Store this week in Hyderabad, whose packaging was like a Local Product and was priced at 1100Rs. Looking at the size which was the size of an Egg, i went out first trying it and the Output Volume was just great. The best part is that these are so compact that you can have 3-4 of these in one of your pocket and only one of these would be enough for the maximum sound.

X Mini Speakers

The speaker comes with a single cable with one side connecting to the speaker and the other one is a Audio Jack which can be connected to anything which can be your Apple iPod, iPhone, Laptop or your Car’s Player. There is another USB option in this which has to be connected with your laptop in order to charge the speaker which means that this is not like your normal speakers which eat up your iPhone’s battery but this would self-charge itself and play continuously for 8 hours in one full charge.

Details
* 52mm in diameter
* 2.4W output
* 52 grams
* Playback time – 4 to 8 hours
* Matte black finish
* Included USB charging cable, felt bag

The small bag is also cool because you can keep this Speaker at any place safely. Now the next best part of this X-mini is the Bass Expansion which means that you can open the X-mini from the center by rotating it and listen to songs with Bass & Beats. It opens very easily and expands upto 2″ with a spring kind of coil can be seen inside which movies a little beat when you are listening to a song on High Volume.

X-Mini Capsule Speakers

Would you believe this to be true if i tell you that there is a Laptop in the Market which would charge its battery without Power Cords and it works on Wireless Battery Charging. Well Dell has launched a Business Series laptop which is not another highly priced Adamo but its going to offer you with something really unexpected in the computing industry which is a Laptop Battery charging without wires, called as the ‘Dell Latitude Z’ it is a 16″ Ultra Thin Notebook with seriously break through technology.

The Screen Displays is of 1600×900 along with backlit chiclet keyboard and a multitouch trackpad which is also available on the Apple Macbook Pro. Looking at the External Specs of the large size the Laptop is surprisingly low weight at 4.4 pounds and is just 14.5 mm (0.57 inches) thick.

The Latitude ON feature is different than other instant-on methods currently used, as this has a dedicated second processor to make it work more efficiently. A 1-inch square motherboard contains an ARM processor and small amount of memory (512 MB or so) to power the Latitude ON feature. Dell believes that in the corporate environment, where applications are served on Citrix or Exchange Servers, the Latitude Z user can spend most of his/her day in the Latitude ON environment. This means no booting to Windows, although the Z can toggle via button press between the two environments. The Latitude ON environment is fully connected via VPN or other secure methods to the enterprise network. It runs as a client in the setup, not a standalone system. The ARM processor used allows the system to shut down the Intel processor when not in use so the Z can maintain decent battery life in this environment. via jkontherun

The best part of this Laptop is the Innovative Wireless Charging which is implemented when the notebook is placed over a special power adapter stand and it starts charging. With inductive charging Dell claims that the Laptop can attain 70% efficiency while using this Charging feature and you also need to buy 2 additional modules which cost 200$ each. The website of Latitute Z is not yet loading and the Notebook is available at 1999$ in the U.S.

I have purchased a new hp mini 1001 laptop and since i always had a habit of using a mouse on my PC, iam still not habituated to this touchpad which is available on my new laptop. when ever i type something on the laptop’s keyboard, my hands touch the touchpad and it makes the cursor move here and there which really is not a good feature and i think there should be a option to disable this touchpad unless i really want to use it. Question by a blog reader.

Congrats on buying a new laptop which is originally a Netbook since the hp mini laptops are generally under 10″ of size they have very small screen area as well as keypad and Touchpad area. In order to disable this you need to play with some of your systems settings and memorize the changes because if you want to enable it again you can do it easily. The settings of disabling this depends from Laptop model to model and the drivers installed, though the system is mostly same in all you need to find the correct option though.

Mouse TouchPad Properties

Click on Start > Control Panel > Mouse : This will open a settings section for Mouse & TrackPad Properties which should help you in setting it up. In this under the Tapping section you need to Uncheck the option of ‘Tapping’ to make sure that the Touchpad is totally deactivated. As mentioned earlier different models have different options, you can even disable the tapping options while you are typing on your keyboard in order to make sure that cursor does not move by mistake. Other options include the speed of tapping and Drag Lock.

Let us consider each one of them particularly, one by one and delve into their one of the product details exclusively in this brief comparative study. To begin with Hp, the Hp mini 1000 is one such laptop which anyone can aspire to own as a personal possession. It is conveniently small in size, with a hoard of features. It is durable, user friendly and has got attractive looks. It is capable of impressing the buyer with the word go.

The Hp mini 1000 has got a unique design that is simultaneously refined and simple, and with the added case of premium material, it does seem to be a sleek yet sturdy buy. This particular mini laptop is lightweight for the reason that it weighs a meager amount of just over a kilo, has got a superb display with impressive dimensions, and is a robust buy from the perspectives of security, wireless, and multimedia capabilities. It has got all the required qualities to convince people from all walks of life to purchase it.

hp mini 1001 netbook

Dell can be said as a late bloomer in the ever expanding segment of mini laptops. But still, the limited range of models that it has got in its store, are competitive enough in the current market scenario. On e such beautiful example is the Inspiron Mini 9 which is arguable at par with any of its counterparts. It has got a sleek screen of dimensions 8.9 inches. It also boasts of a strong processor in the form if Intel Atom of 1.6 GHz, and has got a 1GB RAM. From the perspective of size, it indeed succeeds in impressing the buyer, due to the reason that its streamline finish and glossy look are its added advantages. It is slim enough to have a weight which is just over a kilo.

Both the above mentioned mini laptops are potentially very good bargains for any person who aims to own a mini laptop of international standards and which can serve flawlessly for a good period of time, thus truly becoming an electronic companion of the user.

Generally Bloggers are in a view that Less Ads would mean that they would get paid more but thats not the case always, you need to find out the right ad unit for your blog because it depends on your designs and different experiments would give you the right results. Some of the most used ad units in decreasing order are –
336×280
300×250
728×90
250×250
160×600

Its recommended to avoid Image Ads on your Adsense Units if they are placed within the content because these can distract your visitors while they are reading your content and the Text ads would add them some resource because they are relevant to the stuff they are reading. The Link Ads should be placed on the Top Navigation Section not to make the visitors think that these are Navigation Links but to offer them with links which can be helpful to them while searching for something.

Example : If you have written a article on ‘Laptops Buying Guide‘ – The Adsense Link units would be the most clicked because there would be ads with different Laptop Selling Companies Brand Names listed like Dell, HP, Sony Vaio, Apple, Acer etc and based on the users selection they would click on these link units.

You need to try out using atleast 2 Text Ads Units & 2 Link Ad Units anytime you are running Google Adsense on your blogs because that can help you make the most of your Advertisements. The only problem with adding the maximum Ad units is that the high paying and lower paying ads are all displayed which can lead to overall less income and when you have 2+2 Ad Slots the highest paying ads are only displayed giving you a better eCPM.

If you are displaying Google Ads on the lower part of your website you can try out with the 728×15 or 468×15 Link Ads just around the Comments section or the Footer section because visitors would be exiting from your website and if link ads are shown there, you have more chances of getting Clicks. While showing advertisements within your blog posts using adsense plugins you should try out sizes like 468×60 Text Ads which display the Ad Title & Description but not the URL which means that the visitor would click on these in order to find out more.

Testing out with different Ad Units is the only suggestion which can be given because Adsense now offers you with options to create multiple channels, font sizes, font colors and also allows you to show randomly changing ad colours

Dell has launched a new compact 12.1″ screen laptop which weighs around 1.52Kgs in total and gives you a real good battery life of 9 hours. Isnt that a exciting feature of long lasting battery because iam normally happy with a bit slower laptop ie with a decent configurated laptop but with a higher battery life, since thats more important for me while on travelling. The 9 hours of battery life would for sure give you 6 hours when you are running media files like audio, video related stuff.

The Laptop comes with a inbuilt 1.3Mp camera which is not really a high quality but works out when you want to go for a video chat with someone through your laptop with the help of free Video chat software and video conferancing solution. The laptop comes with 802.11 draft-n wireless LAN & future scalability with WiMAX (U.S. only) or get wired connectivity where broadband isn’t an option with a standard internal modem.
