The Laptop which i use has a 7Gb of Ram, 500gb HDD, 17″ Display screen which is actually a pretty good configuration for a portable computer, along with which this HP dv7 Laptop offers me around 3 hours of battery backup which is another advantage. Now the main issue with this is that whenever there is a power cut, the Laptop battery slowly starts draining, a natural activity but when the power is back and the Laptop is plugged into the power source, the charging activity does not start. In the beginning i felt this was a problem with the battery like it would become a dead battery and may be because of using the battery backup it got overheated and these new batteries would have a technology where in after they reach certain temperature only the charging would resume, but this is not the actual situation.

The batteries even when they get cooler, still don’t charge when plugged in, and this resumes randomly at any time without any regular phenomenon, which is a confusing problem. Now the next option would be checking the power cables, adapter and plugged in switch but since all of these show connected and display light at the connection point, this clearly indicates that this is also not the problem and we need to look into other options for this. In the older laptops there was no option to find out the battery backup, the same situation which does not display the left over battery in the UPS because these batteries are not configured with the device drivers to recognize them.

This is quite a panic situation because if the power connection is again disconnected, the battery wont help you out because there is no backup left. Hence you need to fix this as soon as possible. One possible fix for this is to update the drivers of the battery in the Device Manager to make sure that the latest drivers are used to recognize the battery. Right Click on My Computer > Properties > Device Manager.

Here you will find all the connected devices information and their drivers details. Click on the Batteries column and you will find a list of all the batteries connected to your computer.

Click on the ‘Batteries’ option and it will display a list of different batteries. Next right click on ‘Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method battery’. Select the Uninstall option.

Now next you will be shown a confirmation window, asking you to confirm the device uninstallation. Click on OK to proceed.

Next you will find that the device is removed from the ‘Device Manager’ and next time you restart your Laptop, it will automatically configure the drivers for that device and the specific laptop battery not charging issue can be resolved. Other than if the problem still continues you need to contact the service center and get it replaced.

When Nokia announced its entry into the laptop market, it seemed to be a crazy news or Nokia was just trying to get some good business there with the fame of their mobile market domination. This seemed to be true until the Nokia Booklet 3G was actually released into the market.

The design is superb, single bodied structure resembling the unibody aluminum MacBook, with curved edges and glossy top with a central simple-as-always logo of Nokia. It seems that Nokia has tried not to experiment much and throw in more ideas on the design, which is the best part now as one would want a design not better than this one. The glossy surface although easily gets covered with the dust, marks and fingerprints but it won’t be very painful to wipe it off with a soft cloth. Its not just the compact and simple design that gives the resemblance to MacBook, but the Booklet 3G is also made of aluminum.

The screen can be opened wide, to make the laptop totally horizontal, i.e. it can be opened to almost 180 degrees. A pretty advantageous and comfortable option! The laptop isn’t too heavy, and its just 0.78″ thick, when closed although it has 16-cell battery in the bottom. The left side pane has 2 USB slots, an HDMI port, 3.5 mm headphone jack and the right side has the SIM and Memory card slots, along with a USB port. There is no ethernet port, but one has to compromise with a few options when talking about the small design and compact structure.

Talking about the screen, the quality and resolution of the 10.1″ is pretty good and when compared to those of Asus EEE PCs, and HP Netbooks (HP 1001 Mini), we call this a winner. The brightness in here is not forced as what we see in many small-screened netbooks. It won’t hurt the eyes, although you use it for hours in a dark place. The keyboard, is not pretty much impressive where one of the couple things could make it better – The keys should have been bigger, covering the gaps between the keys (there is seriously no need for the gaps), or else Nokia should have considered extending the keys to the end of the board. The right portion of the keyboard looks too clustered, where getting hands onto there is not easy if you are an avid user of Sony, Dell or Apple laptops. The trackpad is well made, with single-touch sensing unit and hard click bottons below the pad.

The webcam is there enough for any video chats, but clicking pictures won’t give you high quality pics, so better keep it to just a simple webcam with no big expectations.

Conclusion:
A sleek, beautifully packed launch by Nokia. The looks are impressive, and the size that can fit into small bag and carry along anywhere. With 3 USB ports, it can help you in carrying out multiple external port connections well. Overall, a good entry by Nokia.

Note : Nokia has sent us a Booklet 3G as a sample to test out the Netbook and share the actual experience with our readers.

As the name suggests, laptops which use touch screens as input mechanism are called touch screen laptops. These laptops do not require the use of a mouse or touchpad. You can use your fingers or a stylus to open files, paste and copy, drag and drop and move or resize windows.

A laptop with touch screen has a comparatively reduced and compact size and so, is very easy to carry. However, it does not compromise on the key size. Since a touch screen laptop does not require a mouse pad, it allows the laptop manufacturers to increase the touch key sizes and ensure that the keyboard doesn’t appear jammed. A touch screen laptop allows you to sketch using a stylus or take notes in your own handwriting. Most touch screen laptop computers also have efficient handwriting software, using which you can translate both cursive as well as printed writing into digitized form. Besides, the handwriting software eliminates the requirement for typing skills, as it simplifies the process of writing in cursive or printing on screen to execute commands. Thus, it provides a speedier and more productive user experience.

A touch screen laptop has a better speed and reliability in comparison to conventional laptops. Although regular laptops do have a mouse pad and a USB port to let you connect to an external mouse for easier navigation, they do take a considerable of amount of time to carry out simple navigation’s. On the contrary, touch screen laptop computers are not only faster but also more reliable. With touch screen laptops, as you tend to use your fingers when selecting the options, there’s no need to worry about clicking the wrong option.

Since touch screen laptops have many advanced and efficient features, everyone expected them to carry a heavy price. However, as surprising as it may sound, touch screen laptops are extremely cost-effective and affordable to a common man. However, if you wish to have a more up to date and stylish touch screen laptop, you may have to shell out a little additional money than required for the general laptops. With touch screen laptops expected to become more common, their prices will surely come down.

One of the best touch screen laptops in the market is HP Touch Smart TX2. It packs the punch of a regular laptop as well a multimedia machine. The touch screen technology used in this laptop enables the use of two fingers to navigate the multimedia applications. It operates on Windows 7 and has an AMD Turion processor.

The future of touch screen laptops appears bright, as more software applications are expected to be compatible with touch-screen technology. Currently, these laptops are available only with Windows operating system; however, there are rumors stating that an Apple Macintosh touch screen laptop model is in the works and will be introduced shortly. Apple has recently introduced the iPad, however it is more useful for reading books, viewing movies etc rather than as a fully functional laptop computer.

If you are a tech-savvy business person or student with a busy lifestyle, a touch screen laptop will prove to be your ideal companion.

You need to first of all make a list of all the hardware configuration based on the following table and find out what kind of Laptop you really need and then go forward with the search for the same. Based on this you can decide the ideal Laptop which you need to buy and invest your money into, and not directly go and buy a Apple Macbook Pro which costs more than 1,00,000Rs and which is not really something you really need.

My new HP Pavilion dv7 has a very heavy configuration because of which the Laptop gets super heated and practically we cannot consider this as a Laptop and place it on the Lap and use it because this can even make your skin cells burn and also lead to other issues. Hence the best possible option available is that, we need to try out all the different ways using which the Laptop can be cooled down. Also read a article on Avoid Excessive heat build-up in Laptops

Laptop Flat Surface Table

Flat Surface : The Laptops are considered to be devices which can be placed on your Laps and you can start working anywhere anytime, hence the netbooks were introduced and also the sale of Laptops in the market is booming. But many people have neglected the fact that the Laptops are to be placed on a Flat Surface and they place the Laptops on the Bed or on their Pillows to enjoy taking rest as well as completing their work. This would not only block the air vents ie the Laptop Fan, but also create other health problems, for which we would recommend reading a article on health care for laptop users. A flat surface could be your Reading Table or your office desk where in you can also have the right body postures along with the right exposure to external air from the beneath of the Laptop. While placing the Laptop on your Lap, Bed or Pillows the air vents can get blocked because of which the hot air which has to be pushed outside is blocked inside increasing the overall temperature of your Laptop which can be felt when you place your hand near the bottom side of your Laptop.

laptop dust removal

Clean Dust : I have no idea about others, but am personally a quite lazy person and when the talk is about handling my gadgets, i tend to ignore this stuff and would never Clean the Laptop screen, Laptop Keyboard or the mouse bottom which hangs after a long period of usage. These are few tiny issues which wont effect on your gadgets quickly but in the long run would reduce their value and there are many reasons for this. If you don’t vacuum your Laptop Keyboard section, the dust keeps getting accumulated and in the long run the buttons wont work perfectly, the way they were when you purchased the new Laptop. The very same way if you don’t keep the Laptop’s Air Vent clean, dust would get accumulated at that area and would block the hot air to be pushed outside, increasing the internal temperature. You can also use a Cotton swab along with your old toothbrush to clean out all the dust along with some good laptop cleaning liquid to make sure any dust is not left on the fan and the went. Make sure that when you perform any of these tasks, the Laptop Power is completely Off and you don’t get any electric shocks while performing some maintainence tasks.

Laptop Cooling Pads : This is one of the most important advice we can give you when you are looking to cool down the heat built within your Laptop because not always the inner fans can help you out. We had previously reviewed different products like 4 Fans USB Cooling Pad, Logitech N100 Laptop Cooling Pad, iLap which are all different products sold by different manufacturers at a large range of prices which start at around 500Rs and go upto 8000Rs. There are different models available in the market some of which are cushioned and some are not, while the original purpose of these is to push in the external cold air inside and make the inner parts cooler. While you would love to work from your bed, most of the times there is a lot of hot air struck up between the laptops external body and the bed surface which has to be blown away and this is one of the most important situation when you would need a Cooling Pad. The latest ones come just in the form of two fans which can be placed just beneath the laptop fans or the air outflow section which can push cold air in and make the hot air coming in a bit cooler. You can also place the fan below the hottest parts of your laptop beneath which is somewhere around the location where the processor is installed.

Google is the Biggest Referrer to my Blog and its divided into two sections ie from Normal Search Results & Google Images Search. Its very essential for every website owner to make sure that the Images they add on their websites & blogs are optimized for the Search Engines which would ultimately send you heavy visitors. We had previously written down 10 Tips for Google Images SEO, and here are a few tips which you need to implement on your blog.

Image File Names – This is one of the most important factor which has to be taken care off, when you plan to use a image on your website or blog. Whenever you take a snap with your Digital Camera or Mobile Phone, there are maximum chances that the files would be saved in the Memory Card in the name format of DSC1331, DSC1332 or any other automatically generated file name which does not give you any clear idea on whats the image is based on the file name. If you rename the same image to something more descriptive it would be helpful for you to recognize the file without even previewing it. A photo of HP Mini Laptop should be saved as hp-mini-laptop.png rather than image1.png because the former would be more descriptive in recognizing it and this is the very same way Google would also detect the image and show on its Image Search Results.

Text Around Images – There is no point in adding a hot celebrity Image next to your technology related article, but this is something few webmasters do in order to rank for celebrity keywords and then get visitors but this does not help. You should always make sure that the Images you add within your blog posts are completely related to the topic and not added just to offer a interesting look because that does not help in getting traffic from the Search Engines. Google normally gives more weigh to the text which is surrounding the Images in order to know more what the picture is about, hence adding some relevant keywords or information around it would be more helpful.

Compare Adsense Ads – If you are worried on what Google thinks your Image is related to, its better to add a Google Adsense advertisement next to your Image and see the type of ads you get. Google will index your page and display few advertisements which may or may not be related to the Image you have published but still you can get a idea on what the Google bots think about your Image and based on this you can make changes to the Image in terms of Adding Related Text, Tags etc. This also increases the chances of better rankings because if everything is related to the keywords you are targeting it helps you in better indexing score and the site appears more relevant to Google for all the keywords and key-phrases you are targeting.

How to Add a Image

Here are all the different items which are involved when you are posting a Image and which are very important along with sample codes and how the Image would be looking on your blog when its published.

src – This is the Source attribute which would specify the URL of the Image, which can be hosted anywhere either on your blog or else any other website. Its posted as src="http://www.amitbhawani.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/HP-Mini-Laptop-College-Students.jpg"

width & height declaration – This is the attribute which declares the total width and height of the image specified in pixels. If you have a very large image which can exceed the size of your content area, you can just limit the height & width to the size you want and add to your blog. Example : width="250" height="250"

alt – The alt attribute is one of the most important factor for SEO, and this is because it describes the Image when the Image does not load and the attribute would display the text you have specified on the web-page. Many a times, if there are some problem with the host, the Images you have added on your blog may not load up, but the alt tag would be helpful to you because it would show a nice text which right clicked would show a option to ‘reload’ the Image. Example : alt="HP Mini Laptop"

Title – The title attribute is going to work whenever the blog readers hovers his mouse over the image giving them a idea on what the Image is related to. Sometimes viewing a complex Image cannot be understood on what it represents but a title attribute would be helpful to the reader. Its again useful in terms of Search Engine Optimization too because it gives the Search Engine Bots more information on the Images. Example : title="HP Mini Laptop"

Target – The target attribute specifies the way a linked document or file should open up. There are different options are available under this, though the most used is _blank option which opens the linked file in a new window or a new tab on the browser. Example : <a target="_blank"

Align – The Align attribute allows you to specify the alignment of the Image within the Post Display area, which can range from Left, Right, Top, Bottom & Middle. Generally its recommended to use the Left & Right option to display the Image as a part of the content and this also helps in showing surrounding text. Example : <img align="value" />

Adding Image Example : Here is a example of a Laptop Image which was added in one of our article – Best Laptops for Students, which can you show how to add a perfectly optimized Image to your Blog for the highest rankings in the Search Engines. Here is the complete code we added on this article for displaying this Laptop Picture which you can take as a example and implement it on your blogs.

<a href="http://www.amitbhawani.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/HP-Mini-Laptop-College-Students.jpg"><img align="right" target="_blank" src="http://www.amitbhawani.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/HP-Mini-Laptop-College-Students-300×200.jpg" alt="HP Mini Laptop College Students" title="HP Mini Laptop College Students" width="150" height="100" /></a>

Here is a interesting software i recently found which would allow you to share your single Internet Connection with other Wi-fi devices like Laptops, Apple iPhone, iPod etc without the need of any external router. The traditional way recommends you to connect your Internet Connection to a Wi-fi router like Linksys WAG200G or D-Link 2640T or any other Wireless Router which can be connected through any Laptop. This can be a good option but would need you to spend more money in the form of purchasing routers and setting them up, and also cannot be used while you are travelling and looking to share your Internet Connection with others. There is another problem with the Wireless Routers which don’t allow you to share the USB Data Card connections and are generally considered to connect with only 1 PC through the USB Port. Here is a super simple solution for everyone who looks to share any Internet Connection they have on their Laptop with their friends without the use of any external hardware and making the inbuilt wifi setup as a Hotspot which can be connected by anyone after authentication.

Connectify Wifi Hotspot Setup

We are talking about Connectify – a small and useful Windows 7 utility which can Turn your Windows 7 laptop into a WiFi hotspot to share the Internet with friends, co-workers, and mobile devices. Once you install the software, you will find a small a small icon in the system tray with the name of ‘connectify’. Next you need to click on it and move towards the settings option. Under the settings section, you need to Type the name of your WiFi Network along with a password which would be required to access the connection you are sharing. The system allows you to share Local Area Network[LAN], VirtualBox Host-Only, Wireless Netconnection and USB Data Card Connections. Just select the type of connection using which your Laptop is connected to the Internet and then click on the Start Hotspot Button.

Connectify Wifi Hotspot

In my case i selected Internet connection as Reliance and the Wifi option as Wireless Network Connection following which any other Laptop or device can connect to my main laptop[HP Dv7] easily. Once the HotSpot is started and activated, the wifi connection would be listed on different devices instantly. Next we need to move to the other Laptop Computers through which we are going to access this newly shared connection and click on the Network & Connections > Wireless Network Connection > Wifi Connection option and click on ‘Refresh Network List’ option which would scan all the wifi hotspots available in the nearby area and give a list of the same. Once you find the network you had created, click on Connect and authenticate with the password you had previously setup.

HP Dv7 Laptop seems to be the Best Laptop i have purchased in the past 3 years and this is because of the hardware Configuration which seems to be beating all the previous versions. Here is a list of all the Laptops i currently own -

Sony Vaio VGN N17 G

Apple MacBook

Dell Mini 12

Sony Vaio CR Laptop

Apple MacBook Air

HP Mini 1001

All of the above listed Laptops have been in the screen size range of 10″ to 15.4″ and i have loved the Sony Vaio N17G because of the full keyboard and the excellent performance with the Laptop still working perfect enough, but because of the new software’s which need better resources i purchased a HP Pavilion Dv7 Laptop which comes with excellent inbuilt hardware which can run amazingly any high resource using software. Following is the configuration of this Notebook. The Notebook costs 1400$ base price with 66$ shipping cost at 5740Rs Custom Duties.

Intel Core i7-720QM Processor (1.6 GHz, 6 MB L2 Cache, 1333 MHz FSB)

6 GB DDR3 RAM (2 Dimm); Max supported 8 GB

500GB (7200RPM) Hard Drive (SATA); LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support

17.3? Diagonal HD+ High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1600 x 900); Nvidia GeForce GT 230M discrete 1 GB up to 2.8 GB total graphics memory

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Wireless – Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN; Bluetooth® wireless technology

Backup – 8-cell Lithium-Ion Battery

Weight & Dimensions (w x d x h) – 7.74lbs; 16.2? x 10.9? x 1.37?/1.70?

External Body : The Laptop looks great from the exteriors with artistic images near the Keyboard and on the top with a Black color as base. This does make the whole Notebook look professional and a costly piece, with a illuminated HP Logo on the Laptops Top, something which is normally seen on all the Apple MacBooks. The Notebook sides are perfectly ordered with different media connectivity options. Here is a list of all the Expansion Features this Laptop offers. The only part i didn’t like about this Laptop is the weight which is around 3.52kgs [7.76 lbs], hence i cannot use this while am on traveling but can be perfectly used a Desktop Replacement Laptop.

Memory, Processor & Storage : The HP Dv7 3080CA comes with 6GB DDR3 System Memory with another 1Gb Dedicated Graphics Memory which is one of the main reason i have purchased this notebook. A total of 7Gb Ram along with Intel Core i7 Processor would mean a complete Gaming Computer at a single location. The Laptop comes with 500Gb SATA 7200RPM Hard Disk Drive which could allow to store a lot of data in the form of movies, music and more. It does support upto 8Gb DDR3 Ram but comes with 6Gb as default and can be upgraded anytime. These days most Laptops have a Dual Core or Core 2 Duo Processor which would mean that there are 2 cores of processors running, but with the revolutionary Core i7 Processor from Intel, the computer processes 7 times faster. The i7 Processor, 6Gb Ram & 1Gb Graphics Memory are the main reasons i went ahead purchasing this Laptop along with a 17.3″ Screen which displays everything ultra clear.

Input : The Laptop has a full sized 101-key compatible with full size keyboard with integrated numeric keypad along with a Touch Pad with On/Off button and dedicated vertical scroll Up/Down pad. The Dv7 also comes with a HP Mobile Remote Control for Media Center quick access to Entertainment.

External Ports :

4 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0, 4th port shared with eSATA

2 Headphone out

1 microphone-in

HDMI

1 VGA (15-pin)

eSATA + USB 2.0

1 RJ -45 (LAN)

1 notebook expansion port 3

1 Consumer IR (Remote Receiver)

Video capture interface
IEEE 1394 FireWire® Interface
Expansion slots
1 ExpressCard/54 Slot (also supports ExpressCard/34)
Memory card device
5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader* for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards.

Extra Features :

LightScribe Technology – Burn labels directly onto CDs and DVDs

Dual-Layer DVD Recorder – Record and watch DVDs using your PC

Built-in HP Webcam – Video chat live

Mobile Remote – Control music and videos easily from across the room

5-in-1 Digital Media Reader – Transfer photos from digital cameras without using cables

People keep asking this question regularly to me, saying that they have a very less budget for this months purchase and they want to buy a new Laptop which would come down at a 20000Rs or less price range. Lets first accept a fact that a this kind of budget you should expect a very less configured Laptop model which would be quite slow and would also be a small display sized Laptop.

ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf – MRP : 14000Rs

ASUS-Eee PC 2G Surf

This is the cheapest Laptop you can buy currently in India which costs somewhere around 300$. Lets discuss about its basic features which includes a Intel Celeron M based processor with a speed 900MHz and a 512Kb cache Memory. The total Hard Drive Capacity is of 2Gb which is also quite low but you have options these days like Online Drives, Gmail Drives, Pen Drives & External Hard Drives which is why 2Gb is also quite enough. You cannot expect a CD Rom Drive, DVD Drive, Combo Drive nor DVD Writer Drive in this Netbook. The display Screen Size is of 7″ and the total maximum Display Resolution is of 1600×1280 and it comes with a 801.11b/g Wifi Connecticity and amazingly 3 USB Ports. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is seriously a good looking laptop which can be considered to buy if you are looking to gift a laptop to someone. Not only the looks but also the features are rich because its powered by Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor which takes very less power usage and also comes with a 1Gb of RAM along with 16Gb SSD Hard drive. The Screen Dimensions are 9.1″x6.8″ along with a thickness of 1.25-1.1″. The total weight is around 1kg and it does come under the Netbook Category. The laptop does look similar to the Asus 9″ Eee PC but is quite thinner and looks better. The Dell Mini 9 comes with 3 USB 2.0 Ports and SD Card Reader along with Ethernet, Bluetooth & Wifi Connectivity. Dont expect any CD Rom drive in these Netbook series because these are compact stuff which are generally connected to USB Drives. You get multiple inbuilt applications in this Laptop which are totally free and preinstalled for your daily need, though the keyword is quite small and you need to get habituated in order to use these small laptops. There are no ports in the front end and all the posts are situated on the sides of the Laptop. The battery life is around 3-4 hours based on the usage and the programs run and is quite ok when compared to the size and features of the Laptop though a 6-cell battery would have been expected rather than the current 4-cell battery. There are 2 models available in this based on the Operating System like Windows XP or Linux Ubuntu.

This is an era of science and technology which has gifted the mankind with lots of things and computers are the most remarkable among them. However while mentioning computers, there are plenty of laptop models available in the market and due this intense competition the choice of opting a good laptop at affordable price specially for college going students has become very cumbersome. So for choosing a laptop package for a college student we should know what actually a student should expect from his laptop when he decides to buy one. First of all it should be light and comfortable to handle so that the laptop can be moved easily from one class to another. The laptop should be very sturdy and tough to withstand some amount of stresses and the battery life should be great and the laptop should give high performance at real affordable prices.

HP Mini Laptop College Students

Laptops within budget
For most of the college students who really needs a laptop, the price is given if not primary but considerable importance. Some of the laptops within a students budget include thise from Dell, Toshiba and HP. The Toshiba Satellite A215-S4747 is good within this category. You get a dual core processor from AMD, which performs well for most applications. U get an in built Hard disk of storage space of about 200GB, sufficient for a student. It also includes fair number of peripheral ports. One more such laptop is the Sony VGN-NR160E/S model. It gives u Intel core 2 duo T5250 processor, 1GB of DRAM and a storage capacity of 160GB. All this in a very affordable pricing.

Light and slim laptops
If the preference is of powerful laptop rather than weight, go for thin and light laptops. Some of the good laptops in this range includes Sony VAIO VGN-FZ280E providing Intel core 2 duo CPU ,2GB RAM and 250GB harddisk with bluray writer. Another model is HP Pavillion dv6675us giving same feature as above but 4GB RAM.

Ultraportable Laptops
If preference is compactness go for ultraportable laptops. Some of the best among them are Lenovo Thinkpad X61 weighing 3 pounds, extremely portable, Intel core 2 duo processor, 100GB hard disk and 2GB RAM with no DVD drive in-built. Another laptop is Toshiba Portege R500-S5001X weighing 2.4pounds with an inch thick, one of the thinnest reasonably priced laptops in the market.

It is of utmost importance to the laptop users to try to increase the battery power of the laptops and this can be practically achieved by moderating the laptop usage habits. With each passing year, although the efficiency of laptop batteries increase but the effect is subdued by an even greater increment in the power needs of the laptops that don’t help to prolongate the average life of the batteries. It is now a common sense that the more the physical devices are put into use, the more will be the consumption of the battery’s power. In order to considerably increase laptop battery power, it is essential to keep in mind few important measures.

HP Laptop

The display should be powered down. If the brightness of the screen is lowered down then it would potentially give one an extra hour or two of runtime. It can also be moderated by lowering the resolution of the screen and the colour depth that would take away the excess workload on the CPU, enhancing the runtime of the battery.

While using laptop, the unused devices must be turned off as for example the infrared transceiver, the Bluetooth radio and the Ethernet adapter. This would resultantly extend the power capacity of the battery.

Double Laptop Battery Life
Optimize Laptop Battery Use

Moreover, in order to increase laptop battery power, it is very crucial to regularly defragment the hard drive so that the frequency of spin involved with it decreases, thereby extending the power usage of the battery. Such technical measure is rational in its own way as it intends to optimize the data placement on the hard drive and helps in modulating unnecessary hard drive activity.

Apple MacBook Laptop

Yet another important measure at this context is that the start up items are required to be disabled to the fullest possible extent so that the virtual memory of the CPU is not hampered shortening the runtime of the battery.

Concluding the discussion with one last point, it is imperative to properly condition the battery that is to completely drain it and then recharge it to accomplish successful power management of the battery.

If a person follows the above mentioned tips, he or she can be rest assured that there would be a definite increase in the laptop battery power.
