Access Mac or Windows PC from Apple iPad with Remote Support

Remote Accessing your Home Computer through the iPad is now possible with the Teamviewer Application for iPhone and iPad. The app is available free of cost at the App Store which once installed would be asking you to enter the partner computer’s Id and Password. Next once you Enter the partner details, it will authenticate these, followed by asking you for permissions. At the same time on your PC computer, you will find that the software would ask for approval to access, though you won’t be able to transfer any data between these two partners since iPad does not allow direct files transfer of any type.

You will find the app to display a small mouse pointer on the small screen which normally stays in the center of the screen and you can move around the remote computer by taping on the iPad screen and moving the remote desktop screen area. You can pinch on the screen to increase the screen size of the desktop and double click on any icon to run it. I was able to even run flash based applications on the desktop which were displayed on the iPad because the app would render all the stuff in the form of images which you can optimize for speed or quality from the settings option.

Other excellent options would include Remote reboot of your partners computer and also disable the partners computers access to their own computer while you are taking control over it. This option is useful when you are busy with some tweaking on the other computer and do not want the partner to disturb with your mouse commands.

The application is useful for Tech support providers because they can actually take access to their clients computer from any location from either the ipad or iphone and fix all the problems easily. It would have been great if the ipad would have allowed the users to transfer some level of files ie Image files or mp3 files by just using the drag and drop function though there would be some possibilities in the case of Jailbroken iPads.
