Seems like after BSNL-MTNL, TATA Docomo and Reliance Communications it’s time for airtel to launch with 3G services this week. If you can recollect airtel had won 3G spectrum in 13 telecom circles out of 22 circles which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, UP (West), Rajasthan, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, North East and Jammu and Kashmir. Though the tariff plans of airtel hasn’t been announced but as soon as airtel will announce the 3G plans we will update this post with the same.
Airtel 3G Plans
Though airtel is yet to announce the 3G Plans, but if you are the one who has one of these handsets like HTC HD7, Nokia N8, Nokia C3, Samsung Wave S8500, Samsung Galaxy S or HTC Smart then you now has a reason to cheer as by just paying Rs. 300 you will be able to enjoy 12 GB of free 3G data usage (2GB x 6 months) on your mobile which comes close to Rs. 25/ GB. It can’t get better than this. But these offers are phone specific, so if you are having some other device apart from the list which is mentioned above then you won’t be able to enjoy the above plan. Please note that 3G plans can only be availed once airtel launches 3G officially.
airtel 3G SIM
You don’t need to buy a separate SIM for enjoying the 3G services as with the existing 2G Sim itself you can enjoy 3G services.
airtel 3G USB Modem
airtel has launched an all exclusive 3G USB modem which is priced at Rs. 3,799, but this 3G USB modem can also be used to surf the internet on the airtel’s 2.75G EDGE network. In EDGE network, airtel has got some attractive data plans like at just Rs. 999 per month you can surf or download unlimited .
Other data plans include:
At Rs. 49/month – 10paise/10KB,
At Rs. 350/month – 500MB,
At Rs. 599/month – 1GB,
At Rs. 999/month – Unlimited
Not on airtel?
If you are not an airtel customer and wish to switch to airtel under MNP (Mobile Number Portability) then now it’s possible even without changing your existing number number.
Dear sir, I have a query….. I own a I phone 3GS and currently I am using airtel 98 plan which gives me 2 gb of monthly usage, but speed is pathetic. So can I use this rs 300 plan with 12 gb on I phone. Also let me know the validity of this plan…. Thanks

i contacted airtel customer care but they were not aware of any such offer ……. also he added that this must be available for bundle offer if i buy an I phone from the gallery with this offer i may get it , but not for any existing airtel customer ……am so confused …

Hi,
I’m the current user of Photon+ this is very good with 1799Rs-Modem cost and 800Rs Unlimited usage after exceeding 5GB speed gets decreased to 155kbps. I think Airtel is very expensive compare to TATA Photon+.
