Apple Battery Charger with Long Service Life & Saves Electricity

Apple Battery Charger

This article may sound biased but frankly speaking it’s not. We have tried and tested this specific product from Apple like all the other stuff we do and have found that this is one of the best stuff you can buy for your daily usage. Most of the Apple wireless products are powered by AA batteries like the Apple Magic Mouse, TrackPad, Wireless Keyboard etc and all of these need 2 batteries while the mouse and keyboard batteries become empty very soon with daily usage.

Hence it would be quite costly in the long run, along with not being environment friendly if you keep buying those AA batteries every fortnight. A better and smart decision would be to buy the ‘Apple Battery Charger’ which comes within a small package full of useful stuff. Once you open the package you get a charger, adapter and 3 sets of AA batteries which are ready for use. This means that these batteries are ready for use and can be directly pushed into your idevices right away.

Basics :
First of all the main reason why we are recommending these batteries is that they are not just limited to the use with Apple Products but also can be used with any other device at your home which works with AA Batteries. These batteries also use the lowest power intake when it’s connected to the power while not in use which means that while a normal traditional battery charger would require 315mW of power intake the Apple ones take just 30mW saving you a huge amount of electricity if counted in the long run.

Battery Charger Power Usage

Once the battery charging is completed, the charger automatically stops pulling in power from the adapter and make sure that you save electricity when it’s not in charging mode. The best part is that the batteries have a long service life or around 10 years which means that one set of this package is worth a lot when you compare the cost with the normal AA batteries purchased regularly. Even if you don’t use these batteries for a longer period they retain up to 80% of the charge for upto a period of 1 year because of the low self discharge rate.

Price :
This set costs $29 in US, 25GBP in UK and Rs 1900 in Apple India iStore. The price seems to be quite high when compared to other similar products from companies like Energizer, Sanyo Eneloops, Sony, Duracell, Kodak etc all of which are mainly available for the Cameras which need AA Batteries. While if you compare the features vs the price, then its more recommended because the other branded products make the batteries as well as the charger real hot while the charging process is done, which can also damage the device where in you are going to use the batteries.

Here is a video which shows you the unboxing of this charger taken using a Apple iPhone.

True, missed adding the technical information but this article is about the charger and not the batteries which are not sold without the package. While this article is reviewed towards consumer point of view. Check more information here – http://www.apple.com/battery-charger/

amith may please recheck his article which also includes some description about the batteries without mentioning ah capacity.even in his comment, cannon battery, is talking about long life. i have also checked your link http://www.apple.com/battery-charger and there is nothing there about ah capacity.
comeon amith, dont go for false dignity. you missed it and you continue to miss/ommit the ah which is technically very important and you have not even mentioned the type: lithium/nicad/or any other. when the cost is expected to be 1999, there must be something unique apart from the charger. please spot and clarify.
