It was expected that starting 2011, tablets will start pouring in India but no one expected that Apple iPad will be the first one in the year 2011. So, starting today Apple iPad will be available in India officially. So, for all those who were planning to import iPads from other countries can breathe easy as iPads are officially available in India. Starting from Rs. 28, 000 to a maximum of Rs. 44, 900 the iPads will be available in two versions, one with WI Fi and another one with 3G + WiFi. Apple today unveiled the rates of iPad versions in India.
Since iPad is not a locked device, it’s evident that all telecom operators will be launching special data plans for Apple iPad. Without wasting much time, BSNL launched an attractive iPad specific data offer for its Postpaid and prepaid offers wherein customers will be able to enjoy unlimited data usage for just Rs. 999 whereas there will also be a limited data plan which will cost Rs. 699 with which a free usage of 6 GB will be provided. Keeping in mind about the affordability, BSNL also unveiled the sachet packs for both of its Prepaid as well as Postpaid customers which will cost Rs. 99 with which customer can enjoy unlimited data usage with 1 day validity on 3G Network. Please note that both pre-paid and post-paid plans have activation charges of Rs 100.
From today Apple iPads will be available in all leading electronic stores like Reliance digital, Reliance iStore, TATA Croma etc.
