Apple iStore India leaks Customers Emails

Its always surprising that corporates either sell their customer data with other marketing agencies or lease the same. This mainly happens with the Indian companies where in if you buy a new mobile phone, the seller would share the data with accessories selling store or with cellular network agency who would start calling you to buy their products.

We have always made sure that an alternative email address or a unused mobile number is given to most of these companies, but when it comes to branded stores like Apple iStore, we would easily share our information with them in order to make sure that we get to know about their latest offers or updates.

Recently the Apple iStore Hyderabad send us a mail informing about the student discount of 6% available again for all the customers, but the bad part was the email address of all the customers listed there. This is really a bad idea and should not be actually allowed and we did expect a apology from the team but it seems like this is the normal way of sending email to their customers.

Apple India Email

The senders name ‘Murali Jetty’ with the ‘mail to’ section having more than 20 email addresses listed, who are mostly Apple product users or someone who are going to purchase Apple products.

The next time you try to send these kind of mails, either subscribe to service like aweber or else use a mailing list software to manage these kind of situations. Also you can check the above screen capture of the email we received which shows that the subject of the email is also not set and the mails are sent to notify everyone about the Apple MacBook prices.

We will send you useful technology related Tips. Enter your email address :
