Archos had previously launched a Windows based Tablet which was off 9″ in screen size, but this time they have made a complete new series launch. They have launched five different Android based Tablets starting at $99.99 with the best tablet costing $300. The ultra-portable and affordable tablets start at 2.8″ screen model which costs $99.99. Here are more detailed information on each of these models.
- Archos 28 internet tablet – Available in September at 4GB, with a recommended retail price of $99.99.
- Archos 32 internet tablet – Available in September at 8GB, with a recommended retail price of $149.99.
- Archos 43 internet tablet – Available this fall at 8GB with a recommended retail price of $199.99.
- Archos 70 internet tablet – Available this fall with a recommended retail price of $274.99 (8GB) and $349.99 (250GB).
- Archos 101 internet tablet – Available this fall with a recommended retail price of $299.99 (8GB) and $349.99 (16GB).
Archos 28 Pocket Tablet : This is the first and smallest pocket tablet which comes with WiFi connection facility and a 2.8″ Touch Screen. The other features include video playing, internet browsing, enjoying all the android based applications. The tablet is powered by an 800MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor along with an accelerometer to enjoy the apps. The device is just 10mm thin making it very compact along with the support for most audio and video formats. This product is useful for everyone because it costs just hundred dollars and still you can use it as an audio, video player along with MP3 songs playback.
Archos 32 Tablet : This is a upgrade of the above model which comes with 3.2″ screen size along with all the other features. The device comes with a 8GB of internal storage to store your media files and also comes with a 720p Video recording camera which makes it a worthy device. The price is 149$ and at this price its hard to get a high quality video recording internet device with wifi and 8Gb memory. Along with this you can also watch your device screen on the TV using the TV out option. For connecting to the Internet you can connect it with your 3G enabled mobile phone using the USB Cable or the Bluetooth and get started.
Archos 43 Tablet : The next Tablet is the 4.3″ plam-sized tablet which comes in a sleep design with the screen size which is some where around the Samsung Galaxy S screen size. The best part is that there are no physical buttons and its completely a touch screen device with WiFi connectivity, sublime user interface and 3D graphics accelerator. The device is also compatible with Flash 10 to run flash based games. You can record videos and also take snaps in HD quality with 1280 x 720 pixel video resolution with a software to create a slideshow and upload the same media to Youtube or FaceBook.
Archos70 Tablet : The next model is the 7.0″ sized one which is going to compete with the Samsung Tab in terms of the display screen size. A complete multi touch light weight tablet which comes with 3D graphics accelerator & WiFi connectivity along with a music application with animation support. The device has a capacity of 8GB memory and a screen resolution of WVGA 800 x 480 pixels.
Archos 10.1 Tablet : This is the biggest model in this series which comes with a 10.1″ screen size and weighs 480grams with a width of 12mm. The device supports everything what all the above products support along with a webcam, email and chat applications, a virtual keyboard and support for high resource required apps like instant messengers, 3D games, video chatting etc. This model is quite similar to the Apple iPad in terms of features and size but in terms of cost its almost 50% at 300$.
