Those are some great heavy laptops with high-end specifications, especially the RAM and graphics card availability. What really one would look into is, the screen graphics and size, apart from the 2 other things I mentioned. And not to mention, pricing is always one factor no one would miss checking about.

It really ticks me off when EA Sports Cricket2009 does not quite work as it should be as its previous versions.I did some searching
when I came up with this.
"A Gaming laptop with real good configuration at a much cheaper rate"
MSI GX630-028US 15.4-Inch Laptop (2.0 GHz Athlon Dual-Core Processor, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, 512 MB Geforce 9600 Graphics, Vista Premium)
Amazon Price: $799.99 (as of 03/30/2009)
Hope this helps you(especially if you cant afford A BIG HOLE IN YOUR POCKET.

I want to buy a Laptop for gaming purpose. Configuration should be 17inch screen, core 2 duo T8100 or a better one, RAM upgradable upto to 4GB. I don't know much of Graphics card but I want to play games like Gears of war etc. Budget 45K to 50K. Please Do recommend a specific machine in that range?

why go for alienware or dell if they dont even provide 9 series graphic card and are so expensive. i would suggest all u gamers to go for toshiba x300 providing nvidia9700 512mb dedicated. available for 1600usd if u want to buy the best and money is not the limiting factor.
