Same is also true for Fedora 11. I have done this with Aspire 4736Z. Just insert the BSNL data card ZTE EV-DO, go to the VPN configuration, Give name of connection (like BSNL CDMA), in Fedora 11) [IT WILL SELECT AUTOMATICALLY IN UBUNTU 9.04), type #777, give user name 165, password 165, select remember password & all user, then click configure option. Then it will ask for password for your linux (in ubuntu). Give password, mention session (single or for all). It is done. It is easy with Ubuntu 9.04. Same is also true for Fedora 11.
