Canon EOS 40D Camera Review
This model is the successor of the hugely popular 30D digital SLR. Naturally Canon EOS 40D has entered the market with a storm and has lived up to the expectation. The model is a more improved version of 30 D as there is headline improvements as well as a more robust build with weather-proofing. Apart from that ten mega pixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC III and 1D style menus, 6.5 fps continuous shooting, three custom user modes on mode dial, 3.0″ LCD monitor, Live View with optional mirror-drop auto-focus, larger brighter viewfinder with interchangeable focusing screens, much shorter viewfinder blackout and a quieter mirror mechanism, a all new AF system with all nine points cross-type with F5.6 or faster lens and a new optional combo vertical makes it a technological gadget that stands out in the crowd.
This is a model whose target audience is advanced amateurs and semi-professionals. The EOS 40 D, one of the latest from the house of canon has features like 10.1 Mega pixel CMOS sensor, 6.5 frames per second burst performance, a newly developed AF system and 3.0” LCD with Live View mode. Compared to the EOS 30 D this new model is significantly advanced fin aspect of both performance and versatility. Like its predecessor the camera uses the EOS technology platform introduced earlier this year. Like the previous model this also has the professional EOS-1D Mark III as well as DIGIC III processor, which delivers responsive operation, improved colour rendering and near-instant start-up time.
The EOS Integrated Cleaning System combats the sensor dust. Apart from that the camera has a strong magnesium alloy body with weather resistance, which ensures lasting durability. One of the key features of this camera includes customizable Picture Style processing parameters as well as a clear and bright viewfinder. Unlike its predecessor the camera has CMOS sensor with redesigned pixels that keep noise to a minimum. The high image quality up to ISO 1600 which is expandable to H:3200 for situations where flash use is not permitted or desired makes the camera a gadget that stands apart from the other models.
