This camera replaces Canon powershot A 700 and the most vital addition that it has added to it is the significant new feature is the addition of image stabilisation. With 7.1 million effective pixels and 6x optical zoom (equivalent to 35 mm – 210 mm) with Image Stabilizer, 20 shooting modes, and a 2.5” LCD with wide viewing angle and real-image optical viewfinder, the camera is a point-and-shoot digital camera that offers classy and detailed image.

The camera which measures 98 x 67 x 41 mm (3.9 x 2.6 x 1.6 in) and weighs around 210 g (7.4 oz) not only has a classy look but is great in terms of functionality. The model runs on 2 AA batteries and has a CCD (charge-coupled device) sensor as well as an ISO HI. The DIGIC II imaging engine in the model allows for enhanced picture quality. The other key features like 2.5-inch LCD monitor and real-image optical viewfinder make it a model where technical expertise of the camera manufacturer has reached its height.
