Canon G9 Performance with Style : This Digital Camera comes jampacked with 12.1 Mp lens and great performance with tonnes of features. I purchased this camera last week and got it delivered yesterday after reading great reviews about it on different digital camera review websites and youtube video reviews.
First of all lets talk about the package contents which include the Digital Camera, Battery Pack, A Battery Charger, 32 Mb Memory Card[Seriously very small memory Card], Interface Cable to connect the Digital Camera to the Computer using USB 2.0, AV Cable, Neck Strap, Canon Camera Software Disk & a Warranty Card. Since the camera is not available in India, i had purchased it on eBay and hence i cannot expect any warranty because iam sure it was brought in with out any bills.
Specifications of Canon Powershot G9 : 12.1 million pixels , 4x Digital Zoom with a maximum of 24x when combined with the Optical Zoom. A Huge 3.0Inches LCD which was the main factor i bought this one when compared to Canon G7 Camera with imazes captured in 4000×3000 pixels size.
I have purchased a 4Gb Memory card from Sandisk which comes with a Micromate inorder to transfer the data directly from the memory card to the computer/laptops and this makes me more easier in moving the data because now i dont need to connect the whole camera to the laptop using USB and run any softwares. A 4Gb memory card can support 1 Hour of high quality video and around 3000 photos of 1600×1200 pixel which is huge amount.
The Canon G9 camera is a highly recommended digital camera based on reviews and features it offers, currently in India you can get your hands on Canon G7 only which is costing around 35000Rs and this advanced model G9 you may have to try out with some local stores who directly import.
