Compress Large Size Microsoft Office Files Easily

April 10, 2010 by Yogesh Patel

There is always a requirement of files with less size and so it becomes very light to carry it through media easily. And so there are many paid software available in the market, one of the best I found is PPT Minimizer, its reviewed here.

PPT Minimizer is an excellent software designed to reduce the file size of Powerpoint Presentations and word documents that you use. The latest version of PPT Minimizer i.e., PPT Minimizer v5.0 supports all files of Microsoft Office 2009.

PPT Minimizer claims that its has the efficiency of 98% of reduced file size as that of original but this is not practically possible. How efficient PPT Minimizer reduces the file size largely depends on what your .ppt or .doc file is made up of. For the best example, if you have a simple Microsoft word document which contains text only with no pictures and animation, doesn’t expect that such kind of file size would be reduced because text can’t be compressed. However if you have large .ppt files with mix of text, pictures, template background/presentation, audio and clips, then you can expect a large amount of file size to be reduced.

Also use PPT Minimizer when you have a large file sizes because you wouldn’t a big difference in compressing the file of lesser size.

Version 5.0 supports Microsoft Office 2009 which includes .pptx, .xlsx and .docx files too

Developer version also available upon request.

PPT Minimizer is paid software and its available at a price of 34.95 Euros with a file size of 4.38 MB and supports Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista operating system.
