Google has got a large adwords ads quality test team but do they manually check all their adverts? I was checking my email @ gmail today and found a ad which comes on the rightside section of the gmail interface and you will be shocked when you find a ad in this format. How in the world did the auto check approve this ad.
Ad in Text Format :
WMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM W
WMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMW
WMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMW
WMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-W
Ad in Image Format :
The ad when clicked was leading to this page and its a search result page from search.Excite.com , normally when a advert is added in adwords the ads are instantly checked and if there are some problems you will be suggested to make suggested changes, but about the situation when ads like these come up?
Here is some information on the ads in Gmail :
Ads in Gmail are placed in the same way that ads are placed alongside Google search results and, through the Google AdSense program, on content pages across the web. The goal is to provide users with helpful ads, links and content relevant to their specific interests. Gmail is a technology-based program. Advertising and related information are shown using a completely automated process.
