Don’t Buy an iPhone 3G Hate 8 Reasons

Airtel and Vodafone thinks Indians have a lot of money to spend and would be ready to shell out 31000Rs+ for a useless device, here are 8 reasons why you should not Buy a Apple iPhone 3G in India.
- Overpriced phone – The price of Rs. 31000 for 8 GB and Rs. 36100 for 16 GB models is not satisfactory and into budget of everyone. It is approx. $800 and $900 respectively, which is 4 times the same in U.S. Do airtel and vodafone realize that most of the services in iPhone are locked and that gadget would not sell easily in that high price.
- No 3G – 3rd Generation technology is still not available in India, so the traditional slow speed internet is seen, when compared to the high-tech fast speed seen in the U.S. Facilitation of many new applications is not possible due to lack of 3G in India.
- Camera – It is 2 MP, and the very basic one which Nokia had already being giving since the start of N-series mobiles. And now there are many other mobiles in India which have 5 MP cameras, so why just 2 MP in iPhone.
- Can’t share with bluetooth – It isn’t just like any other Nokia phone. You can’t share music files, images or videos through bluetooth. What for is this mobile for?
- No video recording or flash – There is no flash attached to the camera and video recording can not be done. So this phone is just for making calls and we are gonna pay a hefty sum for just a phone of no use.
- Battery drain problems – As reported here(http://www.thewwwblog.com/apple-iphone-3g-battery-problems-reported.html), battery keeps draining very fast and needs charging very frequently, if not taken care of well. In India, the usage of phones is not in a very safe and conservative way, so phone like iPhone won’t stay long if the type and way of usage is not changed.
- Video calling not possible – Video calling is also not possible as there is just a single camera on the back, whereas there are many Nokia N-series phones that have dual camera and front camera helps in video calling.
- Everything requires iTunes – Windows computers can not easily adjust with it, as every installation or transfer from or to the iPhone needs the Apple iTunes and very few Indians use iTunes or actually have it installed.
Please sign the petition(open letter) being sent to Airtel and Vodafone showing your unsatisfactory feelings towards the price set by them.

sorry to said that I have never hear about this before. Why would any with hate feeling and reasons would want to buy a iPhone 3G in the first place. Its really waste of time and money. I don’t have a iPhone so I can’t complain much.

okay I read the battery drain problem seem to be disturbing me as I don’t really like to use any gadget that need me to charge all day long. if I am going out for sure there’s not many place where provide you to charge and use your iPhone at the same time.

Oh my god! this thing is crap!
I’ll can buy N96 16GB and still save a few bucks.
Who’s buying that stupid fone that-
can’t even forward SMS
Can’t install software/Updates without Itunes
Can’t change theme and wallpaper.
Unlike USA, Iphone in india will be an ‘idiot symbol’ and NOT status symbol.
Heck! Apple paid people in Poland to buy Iphone!

Nokia 5800 which is a touch screen it looks even like iphone have almost all facilitiei iphone have and many more it would be a great provider of music especially…
Apart from this it comes with 8gb card expandable upto 16gb…
It perhaps have 3.2mp carl zessis optics and inbuilt memory of 81MB

No matter wat ppl say u all will agree that whenever somebody takes out an iphone they definitely get all the attention. try that with a HTC Diamond. BRAND MATTERS. APPLE isnt fool to leave all these basic things out. there’s always a reason!

dont listen to this. you can get an iphone 3g video recorder from app store.its called movie maker.and i have an iphone 3g and the camara is very clear.and get can get this app called night camara.flash is old night camara is the lates feature

there is only features its missing and it NOT over priced. its missing vide3o recorder but so what. and the two other features is copy and paste but you barly need to use that.and picture messaging.but it makes up for it for all the other features.YOU CAN GET IPHONE 3G VIDEO RECORDER FROM APP STORE.ITS CALLED VIDEO RECORDER.

hi guys .actually apple launched its iphone long ago and it wasnt for middle income indian guys frankly,not for rikshawpullers or for people who cant rise above battery time .its os is unbeatable and is truely magnificent.plus its not like any other cellphone .it has been evolving since the launch of iphone 2g .a huge team of developers are working day and night to update the features that include bluetooth transfers and msg fwding and cut and paste and many others by that time os 5.0 is available one would have everything .apple has been the best in the market . none of you had a cellphone in 1995,cell phones that time didnt even have polyphonic ringtones ,forget about camera and mp3 and radio crap.nokia and siemens and sony and eriksson were in the period of evolution at that time.
and so is apple now .but you had to buy a different phone if you needed a colour screen and a diff one if you wanted a camera .
but with apple all you need is an update and you’d have all the features that the developers add to the mesmerising list of apps .
and you dont have a pay a dime extra ..so all you people who utter crap about a phone who you never have seen with bare eyes and would not be able to buy untill you get it from your in-laws when you get married, dont speak crap about the iphone or apple . go online do some research and if not go buy a nokia 1100 with great battery and other crap .
iphone is not a wastage of money.it is a symble of class and new age phones .thats why every phone make in the world and trying to make a model that looks like iphone ,like sony -ericsson xperia
htc diamond ,nokia n97 ,lg cookie to name a few …
still apple sells millions and at the middle class daddy’s 2 months pay .so dont comment on things that isnt made for middle class people who have a mind for value for money ..
