Reliance netconnect guide for Mac OS X is helpful for connecting the larger modems that were available earlier but now the Huawei EC 168c and 1260 modems have got different drivers and connection guides. These modems are for slower connections of Reliance broadband internet.
There are several drivers available for windows, but for Mac OS X here are the drivers you can download from here.
There is a bit different way of installation of the drivers and using the reliance modem to connect to the internet from the Mac OS X operating system. Here is a guide to go through to learn on how to install the app and use the modem in mac.
Usually Reliance Netconnect Photon comes with these 3 options -
High Speed 1x: The terminal can connect to the High Speed 1x network.
Broadband+: The terminal can connect to the Broadband+ network.
HYBRID (Broadband+ and High Speed 1x): The terminal can connect to the Broadband+ and High Speed 1x network both.
I have seen the Reliance Netconnect too showing these 3 networks, not in the photon connection too. The app installation is easy, once the mac recognizes the data card and shows it in the network settings in the system preferences.
i’m also wondering which modem is better EC 168 C or EC 1260?
i personally like EC 168 C better but the customer care says it’s stopped production 10 months back

they have some technical flaws with the usb modem because you cannot activate it in macbook

Your zip file was most helpful. The guide though is no longer available at the upload site. However, I really didn’t need it because the installer worked flawlessly. Why dont you include the essential instructions (people may be a little confused with the iso file at first)?
