My office is such that my extended monitor needs to be to the LEFT of my lap top screen. So I go into control panel / personalization / display settings and then drag the secondary display (2) to the left of my main screen and all is fine. The problem is that these settings are never consistently saved. It keeps reverting back to the monitor 2 being logically back to the right of my laptop screen. I seem to have to go back into the settings every time I come back and use my external monitor. Any ideas?

@Nanda, Nanda, you need to drag the screen 1 and 2 based on your real physical configuration as if you are moving the screens actually in the display settings.

Hi,

I tried this with my ACER Aspire 7730 and my pc screen and it works. The only problem I have is I have my Laptop monitor as my 1st screen and PC as second. The pc screen is to the right of my monitor. Whenever I turn my laptop on it always starts as if my PC screen were to the right and I always have to change the settings again. Somehow it doesnt seem to remember I put it on the left. Any ideas on how to solve this???
