Facebook toolbar incorporate your facebook life into your web browser. All you need to do is to search for facebook using the ‘search box’. This allows you to search for facebook from anywhere within your application. You can select a friend to view their profile on the drop down menu or you can hit on enter key to view the results. Icons on the tool bar give you notifications. You are notified on the numbers of pokes you have, how many messages you have and the number of friends requests you have. Pop-ups will alert you whenever your friends have updated their status, written anew note or interacted with you on facebook.
If you click on the friends icons, you will be taken to page or side bar that contains all your friends. You can interact with your friends and their profiles by either sort them on their recent status update or sorting them by names. You can easily share the page you are currently browsing with your friends by posting it to your personal information using the search button. The facebook toolbar allows you to access your facebook account while you are still surfing on the net. The toolbar has buttons and links that helps you stay in touch on the happening of the popular social service network. You can log into your account and change your status. For the changes, you have made on the toolbar to take effect you have to refresh the facebook page.

There are also several links that will take you to various places like inbox, chat, photos and account settings. There is also a button on the toolbar that helps you activate the sidebar so that you can store the tabs on your facebook friends. Another button, the share button allows you to share a web page with friends while you are still surfing. The search feature is only used for facebook and cannot be used for any other purpose. It will not list any other topics except those that are directly concerned or related to facebook. The only disadvantage of this toolbar is its lack of customization opportunity. There is so much waste of space that could be used for other purpose even if not facebook oriented. Above all, what matters is the ability to be taken to your facebook account by just a click. Getting the ability to surf while still on facebook also mean that you can accomplish some tasks while still on facebook. Download Toolbar here

This isn’t that a good application toolbar as expected. And frankly, I won’t want a separate toolbar when the social network itself is pretty vast and good.
