Just Double click on the single file application to view the main software window from where you can perform your tasks quickly. I really suggest you using this software because you dont need to learn all the options unlike other softwares which offers numerous useless options.

Click on the ‘Split’ option to get the ‘File Split’ option. Next select the Input File from yoru computer and also assign the Output File Location where the files parts would be stored. Next you can specify the size of each file in KB’s / MB’s, this feature is useful if you want to break a 4.7GB DVD into multiple CD’s, you can give the right size of your CD Capacity.

Click on Start and your Job is Done!

In order to join the files again you need HjSplit software, and click on the Join Option for File Join and again you need to select the Input files ie the already split part files which are generally in .001, .002 extentions and select the output location.
