Set Files to Run as Administrator in Windows 7 & Vista

Problem : Whenever i try to use some application or tool which is related to the operating system i get an error of ‘Run as Administrator’ or else you don’t have permission to execute and i have no idea on how to solve this problem. I own this Laptop and there is no one else here who works as an administrator, still the issues is not solved.

Solution : This is normally an issue with the permissions and user levels. If you are logged into your computer using Administrators account then you should not get this error. Still there are chances that sometimes you would get this kind of issues and the solution for this would be as the following.

Run as Administrator Properties

Right click on the file or the shortcut of the application which you like to access as an administrator. Select the Properties option and this will display you a list of different properties. Click on the Compatibility tab.

File Properties Compatibility

Under the Privilege Level > Run this program as an administrator, you will have to click on the check box and set it to YES. Next click on the OK button and then the next time you run this program it will option directly in administrators mode.
