Question by Ravi – Iam visiting Hyderabad for the first time from New Delhi in Feb 2009 and i will be landing at Hyderabad Airport from New Delhi Airport. Next thing i want to know is how can i know the distance between Hitech City and the Hotel where iam going to stay which is Pragathi Resorts. Is it possible to get a detailed Roap Map or else a Print out of a map which gives me better directions, helpful in making others understand the locations iam pointing at.
Answer : Google Maps is a excellent service which is going to help you out anytime and the best part is that you don’t need your Laptop computer to check out this stuff because you can just make use of your Mobile Phones with Internet Connection to get access to the Google Maps. Next on the Google Maps you need to set one of your location as the starting point from which we are going to move towards the 2nd location also as the destination. Google Maps allows you to even get directions for multiple locations, something like a rounded or chain route map each pointed in a alphabetical order starting with A and shows approximate distances based on Public Transport like Bus or Car. We had already written a article on usage of Maps in finding nearby locations and this time we will help you in getting directions and also printing the same. Lets create a map based on the required details above.
As mentioned previously you need to first visit – http://maps.google.com/ , then search for the starting point using the search box and then select the correct location from a list of all the suggestions available. You will find the results as shown below.

Next, you will find a link on the Maps Page which says ‘Get directions’ click on it, and it will ask you the next location where you want to reach. Once its entered and the correct destination is entered, you will find different routes given to you along with the time required for travelling.
