Find Technical Specifications of your PC Hardware & Software Report

My cousin felt that his Laptop was slow and was planning to upgrade his RAM from the current state and was worried if the Laptop Servicing company would just scam him, because he does not have any information on the current specifications of the Hardware of his Laptop and if there is a solution for this without actually physically opening the Laptop and then get full detailed information. Even if you go for a Physical checkup, it would still be hard to find out whats the type of RAM because that’s also available in different types like SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3 etc and if a software or tool can give all this information, then it would be great. This can be the same situation when you want to Upgrade Laptops Hard Disk Drive or any other hardware components like motherboard.

Download & Install SIW which is a free application useful to solve all the above listed problems and also useful when you want to share your computer’s hardware specifications to others, like the case where in you want to sell your laptop. The moment you click on any of the option on the left side menu, it would take a few seconds time to scan down the information and then report back. Iam pretty sure that all the Software related information can be 100% correct but cannot guarantee for the hardware since it may be reported wrongly too. Here is the information for my Laptop.

You also have a option to create report file which can be sent to anyone, because the software allows you to generate the report in multiple formats like .html, .txt. .csv etc I tried out to create a report in .html format and it took around 5 minutes time to process all the information and list it.
