eBay.com accepts payments through Paypal.com service while the eBay.in service accepts only PaisaPay which is the Indian version of the same service. Here in Paisapay would accept payments through Credit Cards, Banks Transfer, Mobile Payments etc along with EMI option. [How to Sell Products on Ebay]
Sellers would get the payments on all the sales once the buyer would confirm the shipment at the end of the month and through Bank Remittance. Before you start making great amount of money through eBay.in as a seller you need to verify the PaisaPay account after a certain amount of remittance which is discussed below.
Whenever the sale payments cross Rs 50,000 through the PaisaPay facility then you need to submit a few documents to the Paisapay team which would verify the same and then approve your account for remittance of the payments. This verification is called as the KYC verification which would be enough by submitting the following documents :
- Valid photo Proof of Identity (POI)
- Valid Proof of Address (POA) for the bank account name as mentioned in PaisaPay registration.
You can contact the eBay support team once you get the alert of PaisaPay account suspension and who would first ask you to confirm the same through your ‘My eBay’ section which would say the following. PaisaPay seller registration status > Your PaisaPay remittance has been put on hold. Please contact eBay Customer Support for more information. PaisaPay now requires sellers to provide verification documents to continue using its services. This procedure, referred to as the Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, will further help eBay become a safer and secure trading platform. You are requested to complete the KYC compliance at the earliest to reactivate your PaisaPay remittance. Learn more about the KYC compliance requirements and procedure.
There are different set of documents to be provided if you are a individual, company, partnership firm, trust, foundation, sole proprietor etc all the details of which are available here. Once you cross the payment of Rs 30,000 you would receive a notification to get started with the verification process and if its not done, the payments would be held and kept with ebay.
As per the eBay Live Chat team – Sellers who have received more than Indian Rs. 50,000/- through PaisaPay Facility would be required to complete additional verification (KYC) and till such time the remittances would be kept on hold. In such case, the Sellers would be required to furnish the documents. You need to send original scanned documents to paisapaykyc@ebay.com
