Free Windows Phone Handsets by Nokia

Now Nokia has come out with a big news – giving away free Nokia E7 mobile phone and Nokia WP7 device.

Nokia is giving out developers from all over the world with free Nokia E7 phones and Nokia Windows Phone 7. Just a update to you that Nokia Windows 7 phone hasn’t been launched but Nokia would it sent it to the developers when its launched and until now they have Nokia E7 to the developers. Such an offer is from Nokia is to attract developers towards their community of developers (Nokia Launchpad). Nokia Launchpad is a developer community where developers from all over the world helps to accelerate development and increase business sales by producing handy applications & developments which is finally available at Nokia Ovi Store.

Membership at Forum Nokia is priced at €300 for Launchpad members but for the offer its completely free for next one year. Membership is available on approved application basis for individuals and companies. This includes access to APIs and SDKs, promotions in Ovi Store. One would be more benefited of being a member in Forum Nokia Launchpad and one year free trial would be enough for the developers to understand the Nokia’s upcoming technology. In addition to that, Nokia would be providing free ideas and guidance of ways to develop & promote your apps so that you get rewarded for your hard work in developing the application.

More is the news that Nokia would give free admissions to the next Nokia World/Nokia Developer Summit to be held later this year.

So its looks like Nokia is open for all the developers around the world to help them in building a strong app market which would compete Android app directory. So if you are developer then you can get a new Nokia E7 phone along Nokia E7 phone whose release is round the corner.

  4. I think this offer from nokia was to attract developers and not consumers. They want more apps for their windows based mobiles or their symbian OS.

    @shyam, @anand: Android is no doubt getting too many phone companies under it’s umbrella but then again we all know that too much stuffing results in consumers moving to other OS brands. For example, blackberry is leading in the market because they’re unique with their OS but if all the brands start to stuff blackberry OS in their phones then hype will slow down. If consumers have ‘get things done’ type mindset then it hardly matters which OS is used for phone. Almost every OS is capable of adjusting to hardware changes. When it comes to mobile, hardware quality and features counts and not OS.

    @Mahesh, You are right but their should be some models. I love Nokia since i think their hardware is more reliable than others but my next phone will be Android!

    It does not means Other brands like samsung, LG etc do compromise with handset. But it my personal choice. Both companies have Android phone, Why not Nokia?
