Many a times there are some blogs which get huge number of comments, but are not updated regularly based on the niche. Example if you have a blog on specific celebrity then there are chances that you would update the blog once in a couple months whenever there is a news about him/her. But since the blog keeps getting visitors the comments also continiously flow and you have no option to take advantage of these commenters. Now lets get smart and try to make a list of emails of these commenters and try to monetise from them with some legal ways. The first one of which is making them subscribe in order to make a while list.
Users2CSV is a wordpress plugin which offers you to export a whole list of users of your blog to a CSV file or Export unique commenters to CSV file and then adding them to your mailing list. From the following screenshot of one of my wordpress blog you can find that each post has recieved 100+ comments and this can be very useful in developing a mailing list. You just need to upload the plugin and activate it to get the conversion options.
