Google Announced Android Open Platform for Mobile Devices
Gphone Plans cancelled officially by google, and now Google announces Android. Android will deliver a complete set of software for mobile devices which includes an operating system, middleware and key mobile applications. The preview of Android Software Development Kit (SDK) to allow developers to build rich mobile applications will be available on november 12th.
This step was taken to attract the 3 billion mobile phone users all over the world by building a better phone changing the mobile phone experiance for the users.

Google Teams Up With Cell Industry
Google made its first major foray into the wireless industry yesterday with an announcement that it would partner with cellphone carriers, makers and software developers to create a new system for mobile phones, a crucial move as it seeks to expand its advertising empire.
Unlike Apple’s iPhone, Google’s project does not involve designing a new device. Instead, it plans to offer a free software system that would make it easier to surf the Web on phones and allow most cellphones to work more like computers. The system is designed to try to overcome the challenges of navigating the Web on a small device and to encourage the cellphone industry to liberalize what it has allowed customers to do with their phones. A greater audience would mean more potential advertising dollars for companies like Google.

NO there is no phone that uses GOOGLE’s software(OS) on it.. Google wants to freshly enter this field.. may be to compete with Apple seeing Apple’s excellent performance on their iPhones
If the company ppl secretly using Google OS on phones then i am not aware.. If anyone gets update then please inform me too….

As I know os in mobile not like pc that u can change, it install in mobile,s hardware so u cant changed. When u try to format a photo, os not format. M i true?if any one say no , please explain how i change my iphone mac os to symbian 60 or window xp
