I personally prefer websites like Yatra.com, Makemytrip.com, HotelsCombined.com etc which are really cool with direct discount options etc

Here are some of the reasons why i prefer online hotel booking when compared to direct offline booking.

1. You dont need to visit the hotel directly
2. You dont have any written confirmation of your booking if you make a phone booking because the hotel booking office has your details but you just have a booking number and nothing else.
3. In case of advance booking like these you cannot ask for any discounts, because hotels generally dont offer discounts if you are making phone bookings saying that their rooms are all almost full at the moment.
4. Lets say if you are visiting India for a holiday and are looking for a complete list of best destinations and available hotel locations in India, then you can go through Indian Hotels List which shows you around 500 different locations from which you can select any, though i would recommend visiting places like Goa, Shimla, Mysore etc because these are travel spots which are visited by many international visitors.

Websites like Yatra provide you with a Hotel Booking Map, where you can select the destination based on the available location on the map and directly click on it for more information.

One of the most important reason why Online hotel booking is beneficial is the reviews you can read about each hotel and holiday destination. These reviews are written by the users itself and they are mostly genuine giving us more satisfaction and a view about the hotel before actually making the booking. You cannot visit each hotel and get reviews of it in the locality but in this case you can directly find the whole list of information in a click, example check out the hotels & reviews of Goa which shows you the ratings in the ’stars’ format with the detailed information like hotel ratings, pricing, prime location ie nearby to some famous destination, beach etc, user reviews and lot of hotel photos which include external, lobby, food section and the room photos.

If iam asked for booking a hotel room i would 99% prefer a online booking after seeing the above advantages from these excellent websites, what would you prefer?
