How to Create a Facebook Fan Page

To get visitors to your blog you need to find out different ways and one of the free way is promotion through social media sites like Facbook.com. In this article iam going to show you how to build a Facebook Fan Page which would help you in building lot of FANs who would regularly read all your updates.

First of all you need to login to your Facbook Account and then on the top you will find a link to Pages if not visit this URL which gives you access to all the publicly listed pages and also a link to ‘Create Page’. Following this you will be asked with a category of the Page you are going to create out of the following 3 major ones.

Local
Brand, Product, or Organization
Artist, Band, or Public Figure

Next you need to Enter the Name of the Page, which would be displayed everywhere hence keep in mind a catchy name which you would feel would be brandable and also create a buzz. Click on the option of Create Page which would almost confirm your stuff. Next the page would be refreshed and you will get access to your new and beautiful Facebook Page with the URL already generated something like www.facebook.com/pages/your-page-name Next you need to upload a picture and edit the page information to proceed further.

Click on the Edit Information option and then you will be asked with the first Basic info which would ask you your Address, City/Town, Zip and Phone Number. Following this you need to enter Detailed info which would be your Website mainly. Next you will find options to ‘Promote Your Page’ for which you can ‘Create a Page Badge’ from the Widget Center. There you will find options for Blogger, TypePad and Other. Click on the Other option and then you will find a code listed below which you need to add on your Blog’s Sidebar theme File which will display a badge. You can also select the option for FAN Box, which would look quite better on your Blog Sidebar, because this is where your blog readers can read the section and subscribe or become your FAN.
