I can not live without music, and as I am working in the sales arena, I don’t have time to sit back home and listen to me favorite tracks. So I decided to by an Apple iPod which will be with me, and help me to be in touch with my most loved numbers.
This is my first iPod, I had a number of music systems but never had an iPod. I have bought an iPod Nano for me, it is the newer version. From the day I have bought this music accessory, I have faced tremendous trouble in finding out the way of putting its power down.
I have tried a lot, but failed to find out the on/off button of this device. I know that this button is the most common part of any such device, but in case of an iPod Nano the thing is a bit different. You will be surprised to know that the iPod Nano does not possess an exact button for putting the power on or off. Look at the picture of my iPod Nano given below, you will have an idea.
How Will We Put the Power Down?
Previously I told you that I am a complete novice when it comes to using an iPod. For this reason I didn’t have the idea that an Ipod never works based on the power on/off function. The function applied here are awake and asleep.
Suppose you are using your iPod Nano for two minutes and then you are setting it aside, you will find that the screen of the iPod is deeming, and finally it gets completely black. This can be taken as an example of the iPod going into the ‘asleep’ state from the ‘awake’ state. When your iPod is in ‘asleep’ condition, then its battery power consumption is much less than when it is playing some music for you. So not using the iPod Nano can be stated as the process of power down.
If you let you keep your iPod in the sleeping state, then you can preserve your batteries and use them when you require them the most. You can power down the iPod also by pressing the pause key for some time.
How to Keep the iPod Nano Asleep Even When You Are Not with It?
Press the Hold key, which is placed at the upper part of your iPod Nano. Bring down your Hold key till on position, while you put your iPod Nano away. This process will help you to lock the iPod’s clickwheel. Thus it will not start functioning i.e. playing music even if you sit on it being careless. All these points are also applicable for other models of iPod Nano.
