Last time we had discussed about a application called HjSplit. If you are planning for moving files through a very small storage device which is really big then the best option which i feel is to break the files into small parts and then transfer it. You cannot directly break the files using your normal computer and move them which is the reason you should try out a small application like GSplit which is a free file splitter helpful to break your files and again join them when the job is done. You can break all the types of files using this application which can range from Zip Files, Multimedia, Music, Video, Backup Files, Images, Text Files, DVD movies etc and then distribute them anywhere even on the internet because they are going to be small pieces.

Combine Splitted Files GSplit

GSplit is a application which would basically split your files in two different modes ie Disk Spanned & Blocked. The Disk Spanned option would be splitting the bigger file into multiple pieces of the same size but there is no option to edit the size of these created pieces. The Blocked option would be allowing you to create small pieces of files based on the size you enter and this is where you can create small partitions based on your requirement. Along with this there would be a small executable file added to these pieces set which would allow you to combine all these small files when executed. There wont be any many options like most file splitting and joining softwares but this would be just a very simple application with super quick splitting and joining options.

While splitting the files there is no limit on the main file size which can even be more than 4Gb in total along with a option of also splitting multiple files at the same time. If you want to run this application and also have a copy on very small storage devices like Floppy Drive or email then you can also install a Portable Edition of GSplit which would not require you to install it and you can even run it from a USB flash drive.
