What are the legal rules?

When the content is copied, the first thing is to note where it has been copied and used. Whether there is any illegal usage of it made or not. If a student has copied the data from your site to complete his assignments then it doesn’t make sense going against. But if any other company has tried to capture certain features of your product then you will be the one to catch hold of that company or venture because in this case its going to be commericial activity.

At times, its difficult to know who has copied your content. If it is online data then there are ways in which the copied content can be captured and you can in turn get information about the site and the person using your content. If you already know who is using your data illegally, then you need to inform to the legislature with your copyright document and the copyright number and the date of registration. If you indeed hold back the copyright for the same, then the court of law will send a notice to the person who captured your data to either remove or don’t use the information any further. They will also be charged a penalty for doing so. If that does not work out then the company making the illegal use of your information will be called in the court of law and legal actions will be taken against the same.
