hi, i have WAG200G router now a days i use bsnl broadband. my problem is that i can attach a line in to router then start router but there is a problem. when i wanna try to connect i found a message. I have a red light with internet option and cant start my wifi network.

Hi, I have a linksys WAG200G ADSL wireless router. It works ok except that its PPPoE link drops periodically even though the status shows its up. I have to manually drop the PPPoE connection and bring it up again to get it working. Is there some configuration option I am missing to keep it up in an “always on” mode?

hello,

since i can connect to adsl internet through dialing the connection. But im not able to make pppoe connection (automatic connection) with my Linksys Adsl wireless Modem.

If you are an open-source enthusiast you might also want to use the MyOpenRouter, which is an open source implementation .NETGEAR open source wireless router is the WGR614L: which also supports many popular third party firmware applications, including DD-WRT, Tomato, and Sveasoft.

@ Amol : First of all you need a wireless modem like the one specified in this article or Dlink Wireless Modem, then check out this small article on Setting up Secure Home/Office Wireless Network Wifi Zone which would help you in staying connected upto 2 floors of the same building. very usefull information
But i need your guidence…i hv BSNL Broadband and Serlite SmarTAX MT882 modem
In my house at first floor thr is my Desktop which was connected to Broadband…modem contains USB port and Ethernet port
i want to use this Internet on my laptop(i’ll have soon) so how to configure same modem? or i need to use wireless modem…also i want to setup wifi zone at my house

please clarify these networking issues…
