MSN/Live.com Link Command working again

Home » Microsoft Blog

Just wanted to update everyone especially that the link command from MSN/live.com search is back again with a bit change in the command. Its also showing more accurate number of backlinks to a website rather than yahoo which shows only a couple pages of results but shows heavy number count and google shows a very limited number which can originally be seen via the webmaster tools option.

Just use the following command to check out this feature in Live.com Search :

+link:www.botw.orgMSN Result Page Link

In case of yahoo and google search engine you need to give the normal command to check out the backlinks :

link:live.com

Here is some information from Live Search :

# link: Finds sites that have links to the specified website or domain. This is useful for determining who links to whom. For example, to find pages that contain the word games and that link to Microsoft.com, type games link:microsoft.com.
# linkdomain: Finds sites that link to any page within the specified domain. Use this keyword to determine how many links are being made to a specific page, as well as how those links are made. For example, to see pages that link to Microsoft.com, type linkdomain:micosoft.com.
# linkfromdomain: Finds sites that are linked from the specified domain. Use this keyword to determine how many links are being made from a specific page, as well as how those links are made. For example, to see pages that are linked from Microsoft.com, type linkfromdomain:micosoft.com.
