My New Nokia 5310 Express Music Mobile Phone

After losing a Nokia N95 Mobile phone, and selling off a fortnight old 6300 i have recently purchased a Nokia 5310 Mobile phone not for its music edition feature but just for its slimness. The handset cost me 11000 Indian Rupees only , pretty cheap isnt it? But anyway you cannot much at this price. The handset comes with 3 music buttons on the the left side of the screen and a 2Mp camera.
The phone was available in 2 colours and i selected the Black+red combination because the Black+Blue combo looked Lame Imo. This mobile phone model was released 2 months back and is currently the hottest available model, though my first choice was a unlocked Iphone but later settled for a Nokia 6300 first and then a 5310 now. 6300 looked a lot bulky before the new one and the reason i didnt buy the iphone was , the unlocked version is not really unlocked and many features dont really work and we can just use the call feature.
The features of this phone include SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging, Phonebook with 2000 entries, large display of Size 240 x 320 pixels and free mini memory card. Which phone do you own right now?
Can u please tell me how much will it cost in Malaysia?

For me N5310 is the best unit for me..
Cos of a size,weight,color,easy to use.
but Not a SmartPhone…
but if u are a musicLover n5310 is a best unit phone for u..
there is a Different Unit of nokia 5310 Made In Finland , China ,etc

I’ve now had my phone for nearly a year and the only problem i have is that my phone likes to turn its self off.Before it only happened once but now its every week. I have asked other people and they said they had the same problem. It is through no fault of the owners but the phones fault.
This is a message to all those who are thinking of getting this phone. If you have no or little patience then this is not the phone for you.
However, everything else about this phone is great.

i have 5310 from last year it was completed 1 year in my pocket from march 2008 to march 2009..but i usually notice that this phone automatically hangup and restart..help me out.
does this phone compatible for any antivirus??

I have a nokia 53100…The music etc is gr8. BUT….ppl who called me, sometimes can’t hear my voice. They said, the sound of my voice sometimes would be so soft that they can’t hear a thing and sometimes they can’t hear me at all. At the same time,sometimes, me myself can’t hear the other person that i am talking with. I might change my phone again…But, i do need to do some survey on this. I was plannin to buy a 5310 myself, from this blog i cud gather that,
1.It automatically reboots sometimes
2.It hangs frequently
3.The battery is not very good
4.Antenna is weak
5.It drops calls sometimes..
Can i Know which all of the above are true.. coz if they all are true.. god help Nokia…

I own the red and black nokia 5310,ive had it for about 5 months. I have had no problems with it and i love all the features included, the sexy slim design is great; it’s not too heavy and it’s well equip for young people… The MUSIC PLAYER & BLUETOOTH are my FAVOURITE features

I Had The Xpress Music For For Like 6 or 7 months and it was really good for me i read people saying it drops calls the battery life sucks dat not true the only bad about the phone is dat it reboots by itself and freeze’s sometimes and the video camera doesn’t look goodwhen your watching video’s u recored but other dat is good i enjoyed it when you play music its nice and loud and the web is fast

I had the Nokia 5310 Express Music phone for over 4 months now and i was very happy when i brought it. It was everything that i wanted.
after 2 months i experienced a problem with it and i had to have it replaced. The problem was not my fault. I had it for another period of months and i had no problems. Until last week where i leaned on it while it was in my pocket. Which i deeply regret. My forward music button has been pushed inwards and it now plays the music instead of going to the next one. I have to say the 2nd problem was my own fault and without inserence i would have been left without a phone for over 2 weeks and without £200.
be very careful with how you treat your phone.

I too have the Nokia 5310 mobile full black colour handset.
I decided to buy this for the slim and the music clarity. But the camera clarity is not there. And the display is also dull. Sometimes it hangs and i have to switch off and on the phone to make it to normal. Can anybody suggest me how to rectify this problem.

it is a pathetic one… i am terribly disappointed… wit d phone nd cust service too… it just hangs up every now nd thn… battery bck is equally bad… initially i thought it is coz of virus but no… sw fault… i find no other solution bt to giv it to service center nd pay thm time nd again

Model is nice is good, black and blue is a way better combination than black and red. Great music player and several features. Only major problem with this phone is bad attena. Weaker than my old motorolla rokr from 2006. Does not work real well in basements etc…

I dont find really something special when compared to Nokia, because Nokia brings in always something new in their series and Sony seems to someway copy it

Good decision by choosing black+red combo color! I like the same combo too!
BTW, i bought an apple iPhone recently. So did Sumit. We were lucky to get them in time. Our iPhones are completely unlocked, jailbroken, etc. The recent version does not allow old unlock methods anymore!
