Google.com finally updated the toolbar page rank on 27th April 2007 and changed PR of many websites. I have got one PR7, couple PR6 and unlimited PR5’s , though iam not much happy with this update but yes this is not the end, so lets hope for the best

My Web Directory recieved a Page Rank 6 and many other best web directories like Alive Directory, Aviva Directory, Directory dump, romow, ewebpages, linksjuice etc also recieved a PR6 , which shows that this Page rank update no directories have recieved a PR7/PR8 as some expected

Getting original content written for your websites so you get natural backlinks to your websites, which are almost always contexual /content based links which means they are more powerful.
Try to stay away from link farms/ reciprocal links because they dont help now
Get listed on quality web directories under relevant categories which offer permanent listings.

Though i personally feel page has nothing to do with the Serps, still it can help you in the long run, and you can get couple bucks by selling links on your website by passing for Pr juice.
