While the technology of printing and media goes to extends of extracting more print from a extremely less quantity of toner or ink, PrePeat makes its presence with presenting their unique printers which uses almost no ink or toner. Sounds crazy right.. prinout without using ink or toner? So is it possible? Yeah, its possible. Find out your answer here:-
This printer by PrePeat can’t be completely called as printer which uses no ink or toner but you can call it as a rewritable printer. The PrePeat printer is very much standard in size just like the normal Samsung 1610 printer (just to give you an idea) and this printer uses special paper made of PET plastic which are erasable when you keep the same paper for the next time printing i.e., if your work is done with the previous works prinout then you can insert the same paper for the next prinout and the previous print would be replaced with the new print which you are seeking presently.
Now lets us look at cost of this PET Plastic paper. This is specially made plastic paper which has no other use than printing with this printer and its priced at whopping cost of 3.35 USD per sheet (With that price you can buy 500 good quality A4 size paper). And did you know that this printer costs 5500 USD.
Although the PET plastic paper is costing 3.35 USD but its promised by manufacturers that it will work out for about 1,000 times. The manufacturers of this PrePeat printers are Sanwa Newtec, a Japanese based company. This is a monochrome printer and as it is monochrome it prints only black prints. The concept is good and Eco friendly too but I think its almost not possible for a company to run this printer in their office as the same printer page can’t be used for all purposes and it doesn’t sounds economical.
So the question now is how would this printer shapes in the global market? Would you be going with this printer? What you think of it?

I think its really a useful one but a very expensive one.

Hi,
I am really suprised to see only 1 comment so far and now mine being the second one. THis printer is real neat. It is a great start to thinking outside the box.
The best Laser Printer Manufacturers are from Japan and is the birht place for the HP printers we see today. Canon being the leader.
I like to stay up to date and will visit again, and again. For printer reviews and more.
Does anyone have any feedback on the new Soy Toner ? I have not tried it but most likely will soon.
Thanks
