Screenshots come in use many a times and you should always have some excellent screenshot taking softwares in hand because generally screenshot’s helps you as a evidence in times when you are in problems. Lets say you have a discussion with someone on a discussion board, instant messenger or a social networking website and you feel that the chat log is worth taking a backup you can instantly generate a screenshot of the same and store a copy on your local computer and this helps you in case the discussion board or social networking website deletes the thread/chat page.
Generally in windows based computers you can easily use the ‘Prt Sc'(Print Screen) button on the keyboard to take a screenshot but it does not offer you with many great features like taking a screenshot of a page which has a navigational bar and lot more. You cannot even take a screenshot of a limited area on your deskspace and can just take a screenshot of the complete portion of the screen you are viewing. In case of Mac OSx you have some excellent desktop screen capture option
Lets discuss in this article about a screenshot related software which can perform some advanced services and not only take those Print-Screen kind of screenshots.
Software Name & Download link : Screenshot Captor
Features of Screenshot Captor :
Setup hotkeys which is a combination of multiple keys on your keyboards to take screenshots. By default Screenshot Captor offers you some HotKeys like Shift-PrtScr would perform a selected region’s screenshot but you can setup custom Hotkeys with a combination of keys and make sure these are not the same as the hotkeys for any other softwares installed on your computer. Here is a small preview of all the default HotKeys available.
These hotkeys can also be activated using the right click pop-up menu from the tray icon.
You need to use the right screenshot taking hotkeys to activate the software and get started. Once you take a screenshot you will find the following options which would enable you to either save the complete screenshot, discard the image, print the captured image, copy the image to clipboard which you can later paste to any other image based application, make a thumbnail of the same image and save it.

Looks good and worth a trial.
Atleast would save me from PrtScr -> Open Paint -> Ctrl+V -> Save. That’s what i have been doing so far. 😆

Dont worry most of us do the same because we try to avoid heavy applications for these tiny jobs, btw the last screenshot in the post was taken using your mentioned process @ PrtScr -> Open Paint -> Ctrl+V -> Save 🙂 because its like taking a screenshot of a screenshot.
Sharat Jaswal says
Yeah. There are so many applications all designed to make our life simpler. Yet we tend to focus on the traditional ways to do a particular job!
Humans aren’t comfortable with the word “CHANGE”. So maybe that’s the reason we still follow old ways to do small things!
