So most of you might be geek on Twitter but you might be aware that Twitter has the limit on character per tweet. I don’t know the reason why a tweet only contains 140 character, but that’s how it goes with Twitter. So a tweet can be of more than 140 character? So can you send more than 140 characters on twitter per tweet? Yes, it’s surely possible, not directly but indirectly with the help of online utilities like Tweet Compressor, Twitlonger and TinyPaste. Each of the 3 lists utilities have their own methods.
Twitlonger is for the people who talk too much for twitter. What this application does is generally allows you to login with Twitter, integrate and then post how much long content you have and submit. The Tweet is then submit to Twitter with consider 140 and added (cont) symbol with the shortened URL redirected to Twitlonger. So its acts like a third-party to twitter.
With Twitlonger you can almost tweet any length post but only 140 characters will appear and remaining can be viewed on Twitlonger.
TinyPaste is a service that lets you paste any content or code or image or font text and then publish it at TinyPaste by providing you a shortened URL of what ever you have added. Then this Tiny URL can be shared directly on twitter and also to anywhere you want. The Tiny urls is like tinyurl.com/ two or three characters utmost. You can first preview the submission and then submit the final short URL for your long text. TinyPaste is one among the Convert Long Text to Short URL.
Tweet Compressor makes your tweets shorter by replacing group or three letters with a single character that looks the same. Just post your message and shortened version will automatically shown up in the bottom box. But this didn’t work properly to me, what it did it just converted full stop and space to a shorter character unrecognized symbol (makes no difference).
There were some of the ways to extend the limits of 140 characters per Tweet or else you can short words for Twitter like you can use BTW for by the way.
