The handset was announced later last year but has now been released and is available for sale. This is the latest high-tech music handset that you can lay your hands on. It comes with modern and latest technological features and is largely a Walkman phone.

Sony Ericsson W 705 is a stylishly designed phone and weighs about 98 grams. It measures about 95 mm in height and about 48 mm in width. You can store up to 2000 entries on its phonebook and has an internal memory of about 120 MB. The phone is also equipped with an inbuilt speaker and allows you to customize your display to suit you.

The handset has card slots where you can insert a memory stick of up to 8 GB. Other features include Bluetooth, GPRS and WAP. It has a stereo FM radio, inbuilt games and allows you to download games into the phone too. The phone is available in two colors namely Luxury Silver and Passionate red. It has an organizer feature and voice memo among other Java enabled applications. The best thing is that it offers Youtube services from the media player available that would enable you to download your favorite music from Youtube. If you like the Walkmans, this phone is for you since the feature is available in the handset. The company did a good job for the sound system as the sound is excellent.

The camera on this handset has a friendly user interface with a fixed focus lens. It is possible to upload images and videos online from this phone. It uses a standard battery that allows up to ten hours talk time on the 2G network. A host of wallpapers and screensavers are also provided. It supports Google Maps software. It also supports messaging services such as email, MMM and IM. The keypads of this phone enable fast typing due to its smooth surface.

Sony Ericsson W 705 however does not have a touch screen and its camera application may not be the best, having a low pixel application. The images produced are not of very good quality and the video capture performance is low.
