If you are looking to break up your big movie files into smaller parts to make sure they can be loaded into a CD or a small memory card you would be in need of HJSplit, a freeware file splitting software which can be used to split any file on your computer to any size.

Just download the software and run it because you dont need to install it on your local drives. To Split a file, first open the input file with the ‘Input File’ button. After pressing ‘Start, the output(split) files will be put into the ‘Output’ Location.

This is a really useful program. I’ve always wanted to put large files like games or movies onto CD’s but even compressing won’t make them small enough. It would be a lot better, though if you didn’t need the app for joining them. But I can’t figure out how this could be possible without it…

This software is a good option, but in case if you have to split an archive file its better to remember to always split a file thats password protected and the split archive files can be split/joined without the need of any other extra softwares because a .bat file is created which on clicking recreates the original file, this can be done using winrar.

i hate all the splittin and joining things..

but i understand that people need to do it because rapidshare doesnt allow more than 100MB
