As from different facts, I must say that South Indian market is huge for any Direct To Home viewers as from my prediction, atleast 45 to 50% Direct To Viewers are from South India itself. Here in South Indian viewers want as much South India Contest as they can that’s why all Direct To Home users always add south Indian channels frequently to make them happy and sales it. So far two strong players Sun Direct and BIG DTH TV is holding grip in South Indian markets just because of good packages at good price but over all Sun Direct have upper hand since they started operation from South India few months ago.
On one Side Reliance BIG DTH provide all South Indian channel in one packages, Sun DTH is also providing same things with more channels then BIG TV except offering less Hindi channels and English channels. But As from South Indian content they have maximum numbers of channels on their platform and they offer everything for just 75 Rs/month and also provide 4 exclusive comedy channels in South Indian region. That’s the reason why Sun DTH registered 1.8 million customers from alone South India within 1 years of operation. So far Sun DTH performance is good when talk is going to only South Indian regional content as they have wide choice of channels and just few days ago they tested some new channels too. Specially they have higher numbers of Tamil and Malayalam channels to compare Reliance BIG TV and other DTH company. Their 4 comedy channels each for Malayalam, Kannad, Telegu and Tamil.
List of Sun Direct DTH Packages
Although they have some disadvantages too as if customers wants all national channels then Sun DTH have big problems as their Add On Pack are most costlier then any DTH. For an example, If customer wants to watch all sports channels of ESS then he need to pay more then 100 Rs while other DTH charges only Rs 65 maximum, so it’s not a wise option if you want to see national channels with Sun DTH but main and big points as their base pack of Rs 75 which carry all South Indian channels (Some are in Add On Pack) along with Hindi channel packages of UTV which offer Bindass, Bindass Movies, World Movies and UTVi. So it’s a good for those who are limited to South Indian channels only. So no doubt, Sun DTH is best option for South Indian viewers as from cost wise and channel offering available in the market.

The impact of Sun direct on Andhra pradesh is huge as cable tv providers less their amount to half 75Rs/- per month this is due to sundirect.

From last one month we are not able to see many channels due to signal drop. We called to customer care (040-39801818/040-39407575) since one month many a times, but they just taking my details, they din’t respond.
This much of worst service I never seen with any Organization. Check in google how bad people are posting comments on this service.

It’s a nice place to shop; I normally shop from Mega Mall, but I will recommend every one not to shop from S Oliver… Couz the sales staff they are having is not well trained, esp. sales girl named (Seema) of this outlet don’t have manner how to speak & welcome customer, the conversation I had with her was very bad, that’s the reason I stopped visiting. Seriously management should look into this matter & sack this kind of staff.

Sun Direct is Totally Waste.
1. No Isaiaruvi,Raj Digital Plus,Jaya Max.
2. Sports Package Cost Much than others.
3. Giving Unwanted Channels and saying that they r giving 128 channels.
4. Quality is not good when compared to others.
5. Delay in viewing channels.

Recharging also causes problem.
1. Website is not good.
2. If you buy a recharge card of 100, you’ll get a balance of rs.89.
3. Then if you select channels, that too will lead you to some taxes.

Don’t go for sunDTH: I have taken sundirect 1 yr subscription 8 months back.The list of channels specified by that time is gradually kicked off. No body will respond for your queries, such kind of worst customer care.Their aim is to get subscription, they never bother about the customer.Really now i am feeling very shame of myself to become a subscriber for this worst network. Please…….don’t go for sundirect.

I bought a Sun direct connection past 1year no problem but I saw several time service is scrambled on the screen every day , and customer care is waste and worst I never seen this much response , finally I throughout the connection and also past 7year I paid cable connection Rs.100 only but sun service starting Rs.75 per month but short of period increased Rs.110 per month but quality wise very poor PATTA NAMAM

The Sun Direct DTH Services have been down for the past 2 days and I’m having a harrowing experience dealing with them now and in the past too. I’m a subscriber of Sun Direct DTH Services in Mumbai having Smart Card No. 41135141137 taken around 1 and 1/2 years back and have been having problems ever since. I regret switching from Cable to DTH especially to a worst DTH service provider like SUN Direct cause when you have problems they never are interested in solving them and turn their back on us after you have taken the subscription…Their Customer Service is so bad that you feel like smashing up the set top box and throwing away the Sun Direct dish very far away. Firstly its very difficult to get thru their toll free number and secondly even if you get thru to their local regional number the guy/girl sitting in some distant location most probably in Delhi and speaking bad english on the phone is hardly aware or trained to know or understand what exactly your problem is. Their local distributors or so called local service centres are least interested in your problems once you avail the subscription from them. Its very bad and I really don’t know how come the Government and TRAI is promoting & allowing such bad and sub-standard DTH services like SUN Direct who don’t have the infrastructure nor the right people to manage such premium based services and just wants to have a share of the money pie from the poor customer thereby providing such poor services and getting away with it. TRAI is useless, toothless and the Government and broadcasting ministry as usual is sleeping on all the problems the customer faces…God only can save us from such dirtly rotten scoundrels….
So from my above mentioned frustating and totally bad experience with Sun Direct DTH Service, I would wholeheartedly recommend those who are planning to go for DTH Services to cut out Sun Direct DTH Service from their menu howsoever cheap or interesting the packages look, its a devil’s trap and once you fall inside its very difficult to come out of it having invested initially so much money for all of it…SO BEWARE of SUN DIRECT DTH SERVICE and go thru the customer reviews of other DTH Services too, to be sure before subscribing to any one of them instead of being a disappointed and aggrieved customer of Sun Direct DTH service like me…
I realised now that probably its better to switch to the old cable operator who stays closeby rather than subscribe to such sub-standard & so called big DTH Service companies…

One of the worst DTH services that I have ever had in my life. The service staff themselves says that the products are duplicated. Customer service staff does not know english at all. There are bloody not intrested in customer service. I wonder what maran is doing, if this is the plight of Sun DTH imagine what would have happen if he had started his airline company

Customer service really suckkkkss.. I have an issue and I have been calling them every day since last 2 week, but no use. The package is cheap..but at a cost.
People!! If you are thinking of getting a new connection, never go for sundirect.
It will be cheap. But if you face any issue, its gone case.. all you can do is get one more connection..

Sun direct DTH, the worse service ever faced. For the past two months none of the service is working and the customer service keep on telling the same stories satellite issue, satellite is down etc etc.
Really don’t even dare to think about taking SUN Direct … the worst service … better go for any other service in the industry it will be far far better than this …

Sun Direct Sucks a lot no proper channel music channel is removed sun music is of no use why this bloddy put seri seri from 9 to 11 music channel means play music and how much ads they run. Sun Direct have to increase Tamil channel and music Channel other wise soon Sun Direct will only at Maran’s Familys.

sun dth provide lowest prise but some channels are missing in basic packages. that is kids channels, english movies & entertaing ment channels, hindi channels, music channels, geographical channels & FM Channels. please provide atleast each catagori one channel. we are requesting provide above channels

i can only tell that the experience with sun direct has been pathetic for the last few weeks…. When we call their customer support (I dont know whether it is their own or it is outsourced to some third rate party), we get the same standard words played back at us : Your problem will be resolved at the earliest ….
Different people come online when we call the support and give the same line as the answer. We have been having issues in the lasst 1 month for not getting the entire Sun tv, Vijay tv etc. in our installation and till date even though we call them up everyday to register the complaint, NO ONE has come in and resolved it till date for the last 1 month.
I heard from another source that this is primarily because that they are not paying the distributors and support people when they come and fix the problem to such an extent that they are loosing out the distributors and support people at a rapid rate. Maybe Mr. Maran is busy taking out all his money out from Sun Direct and divert it into his new investment – Spicejet airlines….
The experience was very pleasant and positive till 3 months back for a duration of around 1 year but the last 3 months, I would rate it at around 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)
A strong NO to go with SUN Direct but if you still want to go with it, do not say that nobody warned you in this forum…..
