Sun Direct is taking money from customers and not installing the connection even after a week. People have no option but to file a complaint with the consumer disputes forum. This is because their customer care, nodal officer and the local call centre (a mobile number) is always engaged which leads to the suspicion that they might be cheating the people.

I humbly requwst you to one and all not to take sun direct iam in ujjain Madhya Pradesh. and here the service is very ..very.. bad and worst. It is in the adv. it is shown as 499/- but is it is wrong it is 1499/- and they make you to call in such away that it is better to take other srevices . It’s my fortunate that i had taken the SUN DTH on 31-12-08. TILL AS ON DATE IT IS NOT ACTIVATED. if we call the local person regarding this he says why you had taken and his no also iam giving you can contact him and the way talking is always is false they never say truth. I have purchased SunDirect and lost Rs.2050/-.Nothing is working,. No calls taken by customer care. Donot waste your money for those Greedy Maran brothers stealing the whole of TamilNadu. Now throwing SUN DTH out and researching for new one Most probably AIRTEL DigitalTV or BIGTV.

I purchased a SUN DTH from VSV Enterprises, Purasawakam (Contact details Joy – 98400 04302) on 08-10-2009. They also gave me a service #s 044-42176174 / 90030 22422. I paid Rs. 2315 (Rs.1250 for set top box+ Rs.990 for yearly subscription+Rs.75 for extra cable).
Now my service connection is cut after 6 months time while I have paid for a yearly subscription. I repeatedly complained to VSV enterprises and SUN DTH help line 39407575 on 6-5-10, 11-5-10, 13-5-10 and spoke to various people. They all did nothing but asked me to pay additionaly. When enquired about the yearly ubscription that I have paid, no one answered my query.
Since the service is so bad and no one is answering responsibly, I dont know what to do. I will not recommend anyone to buy SUN DTH

Never ever buy sundirect. It is the worst. You will spend Rs.100 calling the customer service for activation of channels eventhough you have paid the ammount. Shameless Sundirect..I have decided to throw the box and go back to CABLE operator. I am going back to ages but needs peacefull life:)

I have taken Sun Direct DTH and am facing nothing but problems. Their Customer Care number keeps you waiting for long time increasing your phone bill, the executives only deliver rehearsed lines and the nodal officer does not respond to the phone or the emails sent repeatedly to him. Sun Direct recently had a satellite problem and dish realignment had to be done. Despite repeated complaints over a period of three months, they have not realigned my dish. I am reduced to watching some 8 channels despite paying for the full package. Nobody at Sundirect is interested. If anyone can contact the Marans, please give me the contact number so I can personally tell them my issues. PEOPLE, DO NOT OPT FOR SUN DIRECT DTH.

I am using sun direct for last one and half year and faced many problems. Especially for customer care service, they rather solve the proble nor never listen ur proble. They will give utmost false commitments…
The channels have lot of signal problems and service center never attends to it, the customer center executives as well as managers are useless, they all keep fooling you with new reason everytime you call them. They tell that some body from distributor will visit to solve the issue, but this is going on since last two months. I have fought a lot with them but all in vain.
I contact sun direct customer care about the satellite change but the advice me to do nothing as they will send their technician to align the dish to the new satellite.
Also worst average waiting time is 20 mins and remember it is not toll free… i waited for 20 mins and the call will get disconnected automatically after tat. so dont be a victim of it
To add to it they did not even had proper distributor number with whom I could cancel my sun tv connection.
This is a serious advice…do not ever buy this…dont think of this even in your dreams.

i can only tell that the experience with sun direct has been pathetic for the last few weeks…. When we call their customer support (I dont know whether it is their own or it is outsourced to some third rate party), we get the same standard words played back at us : Your problem will be resolved at the earliest ….
Different people come online when we call the support and give the same line as the answer. We have been having issues in the lasst 1 month for not getting the entire Sun tv, Vijay tv etc. in our installation and till date even though we call them up everyday to register the complaint, NO ONE has come in and resolved it till date for the last 1 month.
I heard from another source that this is primarily because that they are not paying the distributors and support people when they come and fix the problem to such an extent that they are loosing out the distributors and support people at a rapid rate. Maybe Mr. Maran is busy taking out all his money out from Sun Direct and divert it into his new investment – Spicejet airlines….
The experience was very pleasant and positive till 3 months back for a duration of around 1 year but the last 3 months, I would rate it at around 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)
A strong NO to go with SUN Direct but if you still want to go with it, do not say that nobody warned you in this forum…..

I had been contacting regularly for the realignment of Dish for Sun Direct and their response is that they will send the technician. I did not know that they do not have any technicians for this activity. Please do not go for SUN DIRECT at all. Very poor after sales service. Probably SUN DIRECT feels that it is cheaper to employ the Tele-marketing executive than the technicians.
Do not go for SUN DIRECT.

I have a sundirect dth connection since 17/04/12 and onwards at ICRI Campus, Myladumpara, Kailasanadu, P.O. Idukki Dist. Though I have paid Rs 420/- for three months as rent it was disconnected after two months without any reason. Later, I have paid monthly rent for recharge on Saturday i.e. /09/2012 but so far it has not yet been reactivated. I hope the concerned officials will look into this matter and see that the siad connection is re-activated at the earliest.
