We are back after a short break into the Session 2 with Nagesh Kukunoor which is well-known Bollywood Director. He has directed many movies like ‘Hyderabad Blues’, worked in the back-end of ‘Iqbal’ movie. The film maker started out with his biography and how he started directing movies on a very low budget. Films main motive is to Entertain the viewers and sometimes they come with a message. The movie Hyderabad Blues was directed in 1997 with a 40000$ budget, non famous actors, limited time movie because of Budget Constraints and how his self belief made him complete this target. This was a movie about Home which lies between the unexplored zone of art & cinema. Never repeat the same movie story line because that’s not going to work out, though the same lines were quite continued with ‘Hyderabad Blues 2’ movie.

Its very important for the movie actors to have a excellent grasp on the language in which they are going to act. How to focus more on the movie and how regional movies work where in the actors move their lips and do not really speak in the movie, since the accept may not be right for the movie. While he tried to make the movie ‘Iqbal’ which was a serious project with a lot of real life story focus and less on friction stuff. Post-Iqbal scene was totally different where in Nagesh got a lot of compliments and many people started telling him good stories and how the movie changed their life. The movie ‘Dor’ was a hard project because it was a story on 2 women and in India its very to promote these kinds of movies, hence there was a very different strategy implemented for the movie to get viewers.
