How to Create a Google Sitemap & Submit It

Once you setup your robots.txt file you need to get started with setting up a sitemap of your complete website which can be submitted to google search engine and using this sitemap file the google bots can find all the pages of your website and index them.

In order to create a sitemap file which is compatible for google.com you need to use some generators like XML-Sitemaps.com which offer paid standalone versions and offers XML sitemaps for google, Text Sitemap for Yahoo, Html sitemap for human visitors.
Another option is using a free Sitemap Generation tool like Auditmypc which is a free online sitemap generation tool. It automatically starts scanning all the pages on your website and creates a sitemap file for them. Just enter your domain name and the directories you dont want to be scanner and click on the crawler to get started.
Once your sitemap is created you need to login to your webmaster tools account and click on the Sitemaps > Add Sitemap option and submit the link to your sitemaps file and it will be crawled within a few hours.

@ VishTecho : Adding Google sitemap to blogger.com blog account : Paste url of your Atom feed , If you are using a new blogger beta system, use http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full as a feed url.

But how am I supposed to sumbit if I had a blog on blogger? We can upload html files on blogger

i always wondered what i need to do so that my site comes on google..
