Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a chief and basic protocol used in Internet connection, which offers end-to-end reliability. This protocol resides on Transport layer of Open System Interconnection (OSI). It is a connection-oriented protocol used as a communication protocol for private IP networks. TCP works with two layers plan – Higher Layers and Lower Layers.
