Yahoo Meme Vs Twitter + Free Yahoo Meme Invites

Yahoo has silently launched Yahoo Meme which is a Twitter Clone but with additional features. Iam sure once you sign up you will become a fan of this since its offering you a clean looking Interface like Twitter but comes along with few additional features which Twitter fans have always been looking for. Now only if Yahoo could or Twitter would have allowed everyone to Import their Followers and Followings to Yahoo Meme this service can get a hit since running a new service while competitors have already reached the whole Planet, it can get hard.

Here are few features & Comparisons which i found are really useful for members :

  • Twitter Hot Trends = Yahoo Meme Popular
    While Twitter displays you all the Hot Trends on the Homepage listed as ‘POPULAR TOPICS BY THE MINUTE, DAY, AND WEEK’ Yahoo has created a dedicated page for this which shows you only ‘What’s being reposted recently’ on the Popular Page There is no use of any HashTags nor list of any keywords or Key phrases like what Twitter displays linking to the list of Tweets.
  • Upload Photos
    Twitter does not allow you to upload photos and only allows you to post links to uploaded photo locations, which is the reason the service called TwitPic got hit and is receiving millions of visitors every month, but Yahoo Meme is offering you to upload Photos and directly publish them as a small thumbnail which when clicked would display you a full sized image on the same window. This is excellent because you dont have to move from Yahoo Meme to a external file hosting or Image hosting website in order to upload few photos.
  • Videos Hosting Feature
    Twitter does not display any Video on their website but allows you to link to videos hosted on any platform, but Yahoo Meme allows you to insert a video link which is then displayed directly as a small thumbnail and which when clicked its going to show you a full video player.
  • MP3 Feature
    Under this feature Yahoo Meme would allow you to link to any MP3 file available on the Internet which would later be converted into a direct playable file under a online audio player.

Quick Features
Things have to be quick, easy and simple to do
You should be able to share whatever kind of content you publish or find in the web
Your posts should get around without you having to be a part of any specific social network
You keep the credit for your discoveries and creations
You should easily find what’s drawing everyone else’s attention
